Failed Nclex first Attempt in FL, NY?

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Hello everyone,

I failed NCLEX on first attempt in FL on 1/14/15. Thinking of going to take it in NY for the second time. I have read about some that failed in FL and went to NY and they passed.

WHAT IS YOUR INTAKE if you have been in the same situation or know someone in the same boat?

I have been doing a lot of research to see what I can do differently. Thank you all for your support. :)

She can still apply Florida BON and take exam in New York or somewhere else. I am getting Georgia license but will take exam here in NYC before I move there. And I will have Georgia license only

The OP is already in Florida, but has failed too many times to be allowed to take the NCLEX for a Florida license now. She does not need to travel to another State, but she DOES need to apply to that State to be allowed to take the NCLEX again, and receive a license in THAT State. THEN she can endorse the license back to Florida.

Also there is some random discussing in New York, people thinks New York test harder than any other states. And people in New York trying to take in New Jersey lol

They thinks, Nclex giving some hard questions specifically to New York exam taker.

I hope you're kidding......the NCLEX is a national exam, NOT a "State Board"; there are no State Boards any more. Haven't been for many years now.

The exam you take in New York is the SAME as you'd take in Florida, or New Jersey.

The only reason anyone in their right mind could think it's "easier" to take an exam in another State is if they have already taken (and failed) multiple times, and eventually (after having done the test multiple times) they finally pass. They aren't passing because one test is "easier" than another, it's because they've already done if four, five, six....whatever...times.

Sadly it's true. I don't agree of course but people who first time take the test told me. Several people told but I don't believe. :)

Yeesh. Not sure if I'd want to say "oh yes, NCLEX is MUCH easier in NY. In fact, it's the very EASIEST if you book a flight and stay in an expensive hotel--that way, you get the easiest questions because you had a long trip!" Or maybe "oh no, the NCLEX in New York is the very hardest in the entire country! Hardly anyone ever passes it!" LOL....

After years on these forums, what some people will believe (or refuse to believe, although true) still surprises me.
