i failed the first try (265 questions)

hi everyone...so i took the nclex rn exam 3 days ago. and i had to do all the 265 questions. and i looked at the ca. brn website to check for my name but im not there. i guess i failed like what im expecting. :crying2: so i dont want to see the written result anymore coz i know i failed. :bluecry1: im really depressed. i had lots of infection control questions, prioritization, delegation, only 1 sata, lots of pharmacology (meds that im not familiar with).

Don't be depressed shush001. Every state must be different on getting the results. I live in NC, so we have quick results. We pay a fee of $7.95 to review our results. My name isn't in the database under licenses yet, even though my results were posted on the pearson view website. Give it a couple of days, think positive and keep your head up. I know it's easier said then done, believe me. I pray that you pass as well. Keep us updated.

awwww..ill pray for you whopper...ive been praying a lot too...im so nervous bec i had to do all the 265 Q's when i took the nclex rn..:crying2:

:hngon:HANG IN THERE!!! Wait for the official results. It is possible you could have passed too. Many testers firmly believe they failed as they leave the test site. The number of questions you got or the style of questions does NOT determine whether you pass or fail. Check out the Sticky on California and be patient. Good luck.

shush001, try not to think about it:nono:. I know it's hard cause since i took my exam. last nov.3 -haven't seen my name on the BON and have taken this quite some time now:banghead:. Got kids to support, you know?!! I did my CA-RN too. I just don't know how to go to my studying motivation mode again!!!!!:bugeyes: Hard too bec. I have my hands full with the kids..I will just wait for the actual post mail and figure out from there. I must have gotten stomach ulcer from worrying too much. But what can i do??? There are those who are smart and anxiety free...I am not one of them. Just trying to live one day at a time and hope that one day I can help my hubby in supporting our 5 kids... LET'S HOPE, IF NOT NOW...WILL SEE OUR NAMES TOO, SOMEDAY (or after this exam). thanx for praying for me. Whoever and wherever you are, i'll pray for you too. keep me posted will you?

hi shush001. it is normal to feel depressed after knowing that you did not pass. i did not pass my 1st attempt too that is why i know how you feel. in the meantime, just prepare yourself emotionally and mentally whatever the results may be. you are not yet sure if you passed that is why you should not jump into conclusions. ok? if you did fail just look at it as a warm up test. you know now how the test is conducted and how it asks the questions. you will have a better chance at passing it next time because you now have 1st hand info. about the nclex because you have previously tested. actually you are in a win/win situation. you might not think that way right now but believe me. :typing i will be taking my 2nd too. good luck to us.

okay whopper...i think ill just wait for the written result too..if ever i will fail, i dont know how to start again..maybe ill just take it next year..goodluck and Godbless... i know its kinda hard for you coz you got responsibilities, like your kids..but at the same time they're your inspirations... :rolleyes:

When I took the NCLEX-RN and checked the website to see if I had passed, nothing came up, because my name is common enough that it couldn't sort it out properly.

Not enough specific identifiers.

I got my packet a day later, and I passed!

Btw, I hear that, if you get the 265 questions, the very last question determines whether you pass or fail.

Best advice I can give you on that one is, look at it for as long as possible, and go with your first choice.
