Perhaps you should consider reading test taking books! how about taking your bacholors to the u.s.a. I WROTE AMERICAN TEST IF YOU ONLY KNEW HOW EASY! honestly. I think your capable but just get stressed when writing. Sending you a hug. I know you worked very hard ! also how about going to u.s. to school and going part time some courses are two years. That is repeating ,but a different approach! YOU CAN DO ANYTHING YOU WANT! Don't give up. I WISH I COULD REMEMBER THE WEB PAGE. Did you know Marilyn Monroe was turned down and told just get married or be a secretary. How about the beetles they were also turned down! both became STARS! How about thomas edison ,it was said he was a failure, he said no it's not that I failed it was a 2000 step process! Good Luck-NERVER GIVE UP YOUR DREAMS!

Do you have to repeat the whole program? If so, I would change schools if possible to one that has better results with the CNO pass rate, also check the OSAP site and see how many people are getting jobs and how many loans are in default. They will show you the trends over a few years.

Also maybe consider that perhaps you had some things going on in your life that made school too much, or maybe you need some help with study strategies such as note taking or organizing your study time.

I would say get on the phon e call some colleges.Call the boards of nursing in U.S.A. call some of there schools. I think the american board would let you just take the test. Look them up on line and just try might cost you a few dollars ,but why not. I have worked with alot of respectable nurses U.S. and Canadian;. many were I come from choose to work in the u.s.a. because they can pick their own shift ..It depends on there you live. You do not need a bachelors there yet ,but will. I WOULD SAY IN TAKING ADVICE GO TO THE SOURCE.Some on this site may think they know ,but be wrong.Make an informed decision. I may perhaps be wrong too. I have worked both sides so I do know some things that others don't.Most of all persue your dreams! I truly believe you can !

Thanks for all the advice, I am currently looking into some online schools from the US as well as doing the exams there........

A better question to ask yourself is do you want to live and work in the US? We've all seen numerous posts on this forum from American posters that have failed their NCLEX multiple times.

First talk to someone from your university, see if this is a common occurence from your class.

Look into areas that you can use your degree. Remember you still hold a degree? Drug reps need degrees, have better hours than nurses, it's a thought.

It sounds horrible to say but maybe it is time for the CRNE to be the final exam before the degree is granted.

This is a bit off topic but sometimes I have wondered of some post secondary institutions really are better than others at certain things. I say this because I read in The Toronto Star that Dalhousie University in the east (Canada) medical school, is at risk for losing their accreditation status. The article did not say why. Just makes me think that perhaps some schools also do a better job of teaching nursing than others.

It would just be nice if colleges and universities in Canada would just simply post their CNO exam pass rate but it seems that this type of info is not that easy to find without at least making a few calls to the school. JMO.

I know for a fact reguarding the subject accredited school's that your are absolutely right. I do think think that school is that most important factor. Abraham Lincoln was self teaching. It depends on the person. I have always said, No one's gonna stop me. If it takes until the day I die. My school at one time lost their status.

if you see this I will tell you what two people did (in your spot). They were where you are at. One of the girls was told she would nerver amount to anything nor would she be a nurse. Please do not give in or give up ..You are a nurse! There are many ave's. I want to help you. Please send me a message with your email and I will give you mine. I am an optimistic person. In my life I'm have alway's been told you can't do that. I nerver listened to them. THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX. Young lady I was told by ten different institutions NO- you can't do that. I wanted to borrow a large sum of money on a salary of 14.00 dollars an hour. (200 THOUSAND) It was for a business adventure. I was sterotyped ! YES,believe it or not in this day and age! I would like to take these ten business executive's now and tell them to kiss my royal ---. I'm a christen I can't say over the internet. HA! HA ! I would like to see these people now. That was twenty years ago!I did succeed. Start reading books that will motivate you !THERE'S NO QUESTION YOU CAN AND WILL SUCCEED! by the way I still have this business today!
