Because Congress might not pass healthcare reform before going on recess, I thought it appropriate to post this link where Uncle Jay explains Congressional Recess. Enjoy.

"If you read the fine print in the Congressional plans, you'll find that a lot of cherished aspects of the current system would disappear."
From CNN special reporting.
Yeah, it's to bad this is from over two weeks ago, and since then, most of those myths about the Healthcare reform have been dispelled. Aside from that, are we really going to go down this road again? There's already 100 page long discussions about the healthcare reform on this site. Don't you think we're beating a dead horse?
I heard my Medical Savings accounts might go under the reform. However, I am willing to give that up so that the millions of people who are uninsured can get some sort of coverage. The rest of the rules affect a very small number of very wealthy people. Thus the article in FORTUNE. By promoting the wealthy's cause they you are helping them to continue to crush the life out the average citizen. I don't give a crap about the wealthy. I am worried about the young family across the street that lost their house along with their job and health insurance. If this plan had been passed five years ago they a least would not be facing the loss of health insurance. The wealthy people that keep trying to throw a monkey wrench into the reform are HEARTLESS. You are being used by the rich to promote their cause. After they get what they want they will toss you into the street and stick the money they save by eliminating your health insurance into their pockets.
I'd like to be able to keep my existing plan and not be unfairly taxed for keeping it and I would like to choose MY doctors, not the doctors chosen for me. I'm not wealthy, just an average citizen. I'm all for health care reform and if it means that I can't keep my current plan at a reasonable premium and choose my docs, I don't want it. I should have a say who gets to provide care to me and my family and so should everyone else. =

I didn't realize 2 weeks old news is automatically not relevant to discussion, no the 'myths' have not been dispelled - that is why there is a huge rift among the American people on this issue. It is extremely relevant to discuss and inform one another about as it impacts every facet of our lives.
If you don't want to read it - you don't need to. This is for others to read and make their own decision.
I'll beat a 'dead horse' if I like. Thanks for the input.
This is a serious topic and simply shutting down conversation or the sharing of information doesn't help one way or the other.
merged threads.
evening news used to be reporting the facts presenting both sides to a story without personal spin. can not be said of many tv news shows which present info for it's entertainment shock value to grab viewers limited attention spans these days.

My only point is that you're only going to reiterate the same crap that's been said over, and over, and over again in threads that have 100+ PAGES. Sure, continue beating the dead horse if you'd like, that's definitely your right, but you should probably try educating yourself instead of reporting the same fear-mongering myths that have been spewed and dispelled a hundred times over.
So yes, two week old information IS irrelevant once it's been dispelled. Any other archaic news you wish to share with us?

Heres one debunking of this article. I posted three others in another post responding to an entire thread about this horsepuckey...

The point of reform is to achieve just that goal.....Right now your insurance company dictates your provider. There isn't one single line in the bill that constricts choice of provider for patients. (If anything there will be greater choice at the end of the day......)
