Hello,
I am on F-1 visa (OPT) and trying to find a job with H1B sponsorship. I have BSN and RN license in CA.
I know it is very hard to find H1B sponsorship now, but I read a news article stating that USCIS has updated the criteria, and now specialized nurse positions such as ER, cardiovascular, pediatric, period, or rehab nurses are eligible to apply for H1B. Here's the link of the article.

I understand that I still need to find a hospital that offers sponsorship. Does anyone know which state has the highest chance of getting sponsorship? For me it looks like New York has the best shot.
Also, if anyone knows a hospital or SNF whatever facility offering visa sponsorship, please let me know!!
TIA :)
If i do BSN,is there any chance that i can find an employer?
No guarantee. There is always a small chance but recent specialty practice is usually needed. It's a catch 22 in your scenario. Very few healthcare employers are interested in funding the costs (and all costs MUST be borne by the sponsoring employer) involved in sponsoring for an H1B visa. Especially with an abundance of qualified applicants that do not require sponsorship
Hi, I am also an F1 nursing student and I am about to graduate from nursing school. So did anyone under F1 status get sponsorship to work in the US as a nurse? I have been researching for this and all of the results are negative. Please give some comments if you had experience on this.
Thanks

You could look at getting BSN and then start looking for H1b as no BSN means you need approx 12 years experience for H1b
