I had a patient who just came from PACU with continuous epidural infusion. Patient had issues with hypotension and low urine output. We gave NS bolus about 2L but didn't help much and became hypotensive again, still low urine output. The patient had 4-5 different antipsychotic and antidepressant scheduled at the same time (I can't remember everything but it was Klonopin, Cogentin, Risperdal, and more), and I gave them all together. BTW, he takes them at home as well. We stopped epidural infusion, patient was still hypotensive. This time, patient is also getting tachycardic (100-110s). H&H okay. Next shift RN comes in and she thinks it's because I gave him all the meds at the same time. I am just wondering if I shouldn't have given all meds together? Can it cause hypotension?

Hello, I can't really decide what to do and need help! Well, I have two choices now, one RN in a Critical Access hospital in a rural area that requires 5 years commitment, and another one is in the Bay Area (CA) in a Post Acute Rehab facility without any contract. I am a new grad and really desperate to land a job as an RN. But I don't want to start off on the wrong foot. I know both are RN jobs, but I want to work in Med/Surg or ED after I gain few years of experience. Is Post Acute Rehab considered acute care setting as well?

Hello Nurses, I just got an interview for a Critical Access Hospital. It is a small hospital in a rural area. I was just wondering if this type of hospital is considered acute care setting. Another question! I am thinking about applying to SNF, rehab, or long-term care facility as well. I want to work in hospitals, preferably in ER or ICU later on after I get few years of experience as an RN. Where do you guys recommend the most? Working in which facility would help me the most to land a job in acute hospitals? Any advice would be appreciated! Thank you :)

I am a new grad. It just seems impossible to get H1B visa sponsorship, well can't even find a job right now.. I seriously don't know what to do. I was interviewed for several positions, but don't think they'll sponsor me. I didn't mention about my visa status yet because my OPT is good for another 10 months. Do you guys have any suggestions? I hear some people saying that SNF has a better chance to get sponsorship.. but then it's not a "specialized" position. I thought about going back to school for Master's, but it also requires work experience. I've been researching about this issue, but only getting negative responses Please help!!

Hello, I am on F-1 visa (OPT) and trying to find a job with H1B sponsorship. I have BSN and RN license in CA. I know it is very hard to find H1B sponsorship now, but I read a news article stating that USCIS has updated the criteria, and now specialized nurse positions such as ER, cardiovascular, pediatric, period, or rehab nurses are eligible to apply for H1B. Does anyone know which state has the highest chance of getting sponsorship? For me it looks like New York has the best shot. I am having the same issue now. Can I ask you what documents you submitted? Just a letter explaining the circumstances? I heard that we should go to court and get a proof that the ticket got cleared. Any response will be appreciated. Thank you

Hello, I am about to apply for NCLEX and just found out that I had to report my speeding ticket from 2 years ago because it was over $300 (I'm in California). I called BRN and asked what kind of documents I needed to submit, and they said I could find this information online. But the information online is not clear at all, and I got so confused. Does anyone know specifically what documents I should submit? I mean do I even have to report this? Some of my classmates are not reporting because they already cleared their tickets.
