most exciting week of my life

I just wanted to say hello to all my fellow students and nurses!

I am a single, 23 yr old, mother - working in retail (yuck)

Tuesday was my very first day of an 18 month LPN program - this week has been THRILLING....I am so excited about everything....I'm just giddy ! I plan to go back to school for my BSN eventually but this is the best plan for me now being poor and raising a 16 month old - and it's okay with me!:) Anyway....I look forward to getting to know you all better...good luck to you all in school!!!

Any advice to a new student is much appreciated!!!

I guess my best advice right now is keep enjoying your program as it sounds like you really like it so far, that's good. A positive attitude really helps overall.

Congratulations on your decision to go into nursing. I just finished my LPN year in the beginning of August. You are in for some struggles and rewards as a student in the nursing programs. Keep your strength throughout this year and you will accomplish your goals. Also, study as much as you can.
