Does anyone know if Excelsior stopped their Paramedic to RN bridge program? I was telling a Medic friend about it but I can't find info on the site?
I imagine it’s like national registry on steroids... and it does have a wait but most of the ppl who complain about the time have only picked one or 2 test sites and pass up cancellation dates left and right... it’s high but I could care less about that that’s why I have a credit card loo
as a graduate of this program and current ER RN I do know the program is still going on. They did away with the CPNE (thank god) as IMHO it was way too biased and too easy to fail. I actually saw one LPN, who was on her third and final attempt, have a nervous breakdown when she failed the NSL and was out of the program all together.

Excelsior started as a competency-based program. Nothing more complex than testing a person's knowledge base. Can't expect orange juice when you are squeezing apples. The "problem" with this is that states are now rejecting the concept. Excelsior is trying to bend to the criticisms with changes to their program. They are only doing this to remain viable. After all, a money cow is a money cow, whether it is a good option for consumers or not.
