Nursing books these prices....

I will soon be taking Nur104 Transition into nursing. There's seven books for this class, I cant afford them all. Any suggestions on which one or two I should get first. Thanks in advance!

Can't tell you which to buy but I can offer you some suggestions on HOW to buy nursing books.

1. Rent- Chegg - Please verify you are a human has saved my family thousands of $$ over the years. Simple to use.

2. Buy used - there are a ton of used book sellers doing business through Amazon and eBay. I spend less than $250 on books for my doctoral degree using eBay.

3. Join a FB group for Excelsior students- someone in probably looking to unload the very titles you need for some fast cash.

You can also go one edition back to save money. These may be the same books that you need for later classes and the FCCA - you might want to look at the other class book requirements. The notes from studygroup101.com are also helpful and are based on the required books. Between those and one edition back, you would be fine.

I don't think I ever got the current edition books for any class except the Publication Manual Of The American Psychological Association 6th edition (APA) book.

Only thing really different in most was page numbers, minimal revisions that I could find, a few statistics that were not the most current, but never an issue for any of my classes.

I used to go to the public libraries and put in interlibrary loan requests for the required texts. The request cost me $1 and I got the book for three weeks. As long as there were no requests for that book, I could renew my loan. Don't recall any problems other than I found it better to plan ahead when setting test dates because it would take a week or two to first obtain the loan book.
