Is a B.S in nursing the same as a B.S.N? I KNOW DUMB QUESTION... BUT THE SCHOOL IM CONSIDERING ATTENDING WORDS THINGS ALITTLE WEIRD... I JUST WANT TO MAKE SURE I AM EARniNG MY B.S.N, NOT JUST A B.S

What school are you considering attending, and is the BS in nursing?

I'm considering excelsior for BSN..... But I noticed on there website it say BS... is it the same thing as BSN

If it's a B.S. with major in Nursing you're okay. Purdue University is (or at least was in past) the same way. They don't have a BSN, they have a B.S. with major in nursing and it's fine.

Yes, Excelsior's program is a BS in Nursing, according to their website.

However, at $30,000+ in tuition for the RN-BSN program, it's hella expensive. There are MANY cheaper options out there.

Especially the part about California not accepting graduation from this program as eligibility to obtain a license, and 14 other States with significant obstacles for these grads in hoping to get licenses there, too.

Thats crazy.... I spoke with an admission rep and she quoted the program at $12,000...... Where did you see or hear of it costing $30,000.... Please let me know....

ok... I got it now lol....... Do you know of anyother online BSN programs that will take students from Breckinridge/ ITT

That has nothing to do with the RN to BSN program. That only applies to the LPN/medic/RRT to ASN/RN program

I have heard that also..... I believe on there website the RN-BSN program is accepted.... atleast in Oregon it is

Ah, ok. I remembered the scandal, reputation, etc.....found something that I thought reflected that. But yes, I see it's not for the bridge program. OTOH, if there's something so "off" for this program from the school, might be cause for concern for other programs it has, no?

They charge $459 per credit, and the RN-BSN program is 60-70 credits, plus fees.
