It wasn't as bad as A&P, I studied hard for about 6 weeks, and I highly recommend the EC practice exams! All that studying paid off -- I got an A on Micro. :)

Wow! Thats fabulous! I have the material am trying to motivate myself to study. I just paid the $75 enrollment fee. I hoped to test out in 2-3 wks. I better get going............Lol!

Hello,

I am planning to take the EC Micro exam too and was wondering what you used/are using for study materials. I bought their recommended package but have heard some say that you really don't need all of that. Any advice would be appreciated!

I used Lisa Arends notes off Ebay and tbe College Network Microbiology module. I most of it looked like french to me and I studied about 3 weeks. I only made a "C" but it was a difficult exam. I literally guessed at 2/3 of the test and wondered how I passed. Just study the best you can and put your best foot forward.

I studied and studied for micro and worried so much! But on test day; it wasn't that bad. I just took it in Feb. Make sure you purchase the $65 practice exams.... WORTH IT! I felt i learned a lot on those alone. some questions were exact too on the test.

Good Luck!

You will nail it!!!!!!

I am getting bogged down with all the chemistry in the suggested text .....does anyone know how much of this really needs to be committed to memory? I have never really been nervous or concerned about passing any test until trying to self-study for this one. I feel a bit lost!

The exam content guide should break down what you need to know for you. I recommend the EC practice exams, too.

Everything in the EC content guide will be on that test! They touch a little of everything. I know thats not much help but from my expereince in taking EC's test. It seems like they ask you at least one question from each area of the content guide.

How do i get this EC study guide? Is it the quizzes at the end of each chapter? I have read the modules for Micro, but am just unsure of exactly what to study to prepare for the exam at the end. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
