Excelsior ADN to OU BSN

I'm just about to graduate with my ASN from Excelsior, and am considering going through OU to get my BSN. (Less expensive than Excelsior's BSN)

I'm wondering if anyone else has gone that route and if so, how many credits actually transferred?

I'm not speaking from personal experience, but others who did this route had to repeat a lot of GE courses. Did you test out of most of them, or take an actual class? It will make a difference.

All of my gen ed classes were done at brick and mortar schools. I had a lot of transfer credit when I started EC. Only thing I had to take at EC was the nursing exams.

Finishing up the program and I don't like it. I had to redo my English courses even though I already had a bachelor's and the grading is inconsistent. My friend does chamberlain and loves it though.

It seems like I am in a very similar situation. I have already applied and I am just awaiting my transcript eval. I'll update you when I get it.

I second this recommendation, WGU is a great school and you will not find a more cost effective program. Good luck!

A word of caution for WGU. My friend goes there and you the way they classify their classes, you can't get higher than a 3.0 on your GPA with classes there. So if you plan to go past BSN, just know this.

Ok I'll let the faculty at my DNP program know since I'm half way through LOL! That statement is true, just plan ahead and look at programs before making a decision.

I'm looking at WGU as well. I really won't be making any decisions on my BSN until fall. (Going to enjoy having nothing to study for a few months before I jump back in.)

how long did it take you to finish ECs program? Have you had an issues finding a job after graduating?
