Excelsior ADN to OU BSN

Nursing Students Ohio University

Published

I'm just about to graduate with my ASN from Excelsior, and am considering going through OU to get my BSN. (Less expensive than Excelsior's BSN)

I'm wondering if anyone else has gone that route and if so, how many credits actually transferred?

Thanks in advance!

I'm a slacker, so it took me a couple of years to finish the EC program. (I did the exams, so it was at my own pace.) Passed the CPNE on my first try. I had no problem finding a job. Had several offers once I had RN after my name, and no one really cared about where I got my degree. I landed a job at one of the best hospitals in the area on a med sure floor. (Oh... and I had no problem at all being accepted into the OU program. They gave me credit for almost all of the classes I had already taken. )

I notice that your signature line says you are in California. You should know that California is the only state that absolutely will NOT license an Excelsior grad. So, if you plan to practice in California, Excelsior is not the program for you.
