I searched the threads and most of the relevant topics similar to mine are fairly old. The only exams I have left are LS1, LS2, and LS3. I made an A in Foundations in Nursing Practice, B's in Health Safety, Transitions, and Health Differences. I made a C in Reproductive Health, but I was absolutely blown away when I took that test. I had heard that it was one of the easier ones. I must say that the practice exams were basically worthless for that one. It had to have been luck that I did not make a D on that one. Anyways, any other paramedics out there feel that they felt very prepared for LS1? I'm not sure if I want to tackle LS2 and LS3 next and save LS1 for last if it is easier. But at the same time, I want a confidence boost after the Repro exam. I actually read the textbooks. I uses SG101 and practice exams. But I am thinking about not buying the practice exams for LS1 if it is fairly simple for experienced Paramedics (5 years pre-hospital, 2 years flight). Any other resources you guys recommend as a supplement for LS2? Thanks for the help guys.

LS1 has cardiac and respiratory, right? I thought that stuff was pretty easy as a paramedic. I got all A's on the nursing exams except for a B on health safety, so I didn't struggle too much. I did use the practice exams for all of them, though. I figured it was worth the investment! Good luck.

I took Reproductive Health today and got A :) And honestly, there were a lot of questions from those Excelsior Practice Exams. I do not know if they have different questions on the exams or all of us have the same test... If they randomly change exam questions than it is possible for some students not to get as many questions that are similar to those in Practice Tests...
Beside Practice Exams and Study Group 101, I can suggest Saunders Comprehensive Review for the NCLEX-RN Examination book. It is concise, has all necessary facts and the book comes with CD Q-Bank so you have additional questions for practice. Saunders was the only book that I have used for NCLEX-PN and I still use it for Excelsior if I feel that StudyGroup101 Guide needs additional clarification on some topics. That book is awesome!
Life Span 1 should be a breeze for medics - Respiratory, Cardio & Oncology. For me - that was the easiest one and got A. LS2 & LS3 were a bit harder for me, but still got B's. As a medic, if you could get over with Foundations and Transition, Life Span exams should not pose any difficulty to you
Thanks for the help guys. I am starting to feel a little more confident about LS1. I took the practice exams and made pretty good grades (72 and then 84). Luckily I think a lot of information is still fresh from last year when I took the FP-C exam (basically the same as the CFRN, CCRN exam. I can honestly say that was the most difficult test I have ever taken in my entire life. It made National Registry seem like a cakewalk. By the way, if any of you are planning on taking CCRN, CFRN, or CEN, I have some absolutely amazing material for those tests. Anyways, thanks for the encouragement guys!

I thought Life Span 1 was the easiest out of all three of them. Life Span 3 is a hard one.
LS3 was my favorite, back when it was Nursing Concepts 6. Back then everyone feared/hated LS2 or Nursing Concepts 5! Lol.
I have heard mixed reviews on LS2 and LS3. Some say 3 is the hardest. Most say 2 is the hardest. I'm thinking 3 might be easier for me because it has a large section dedicated to trauma. LS2 is focused on psych with a little endocrinology. I'm sure there will be many subjective/opinionated rationales for the psych questions. That is what I am most worried about.

CCEMTP here and LS1 was unbelievably easy and so was Repro. I made A's on both, they were beyond simple. LS2 was ok, and LS3 was the worst test I've ever taken in my life, I took them all in August so this was recent.
If you don't mind, pm those amazing materials you're talking about, please.
Update: I passed LS1 with an A and LS3 with a B. LS1 was ridiculously easy to me. I felt comfortable with the material for LS3, but all of the "select all that apply" questions just freak me out and cause me to triple guess myself. LOL. On to LS2, the psych, metabolic, and endocrinology test. I am studying like crazy on all of the psych meds right now. Wish me luck!
Congrats, getting a B on LS3 is no easy task. Good job. LS2 is easier than LS3, not nearly as in depth.
So can you pm those amazing study materials for CCRN, CEN that you were talking about?
That's good to know about 2. Yeah I will pm you later today when I can get on desktop version. I've either been working, studying, or sleeping.
Well, here's another update! I am finished with all of the exams as of today. I got an A on Lifespan 2. I must say that LS3 is definitely more challenging. Hopefully my grade processes in time through Excelsior so I can get into the FCCA that starts next week. I made it my goal to finish the exams by the end of the year. Talk about the last minute! Happy New Years Yall!
