4550- Evidence Based Nursing

From looking at the classes starting in fall, I'm guessing that Evidence Based nursing is replacing Research? Anyone have any idea if stats is still required prior to taking this, as it was with Research?

Chuckster...I hear you loud and clear. The directions were as clear as mud through this entire class. The rubrics were so generic that they were useless. We need to make sure we really address this thoroughly on our reviews.

However, I am so grateful for the study guides to the tests. It took me awhile to catch on to those. Glad I finally did.

Let me know what your TA'ness does say. The inconsistency across TA's within the same class is very frustrating. Also, my TA never, not once, answered a question in the Q and A section.

I'm not sure about anyone else but I received a phone message on my answering machine yesterday from someone at Ohio U -- student support, maybe? They mentioned the RN to BSN program. I would have to listen to the phone message again for the phone number. I am going to call them back with regard to the RN to BSN program. Did anyone else get a phone call??? It may be a good place to express likes and dislikes.

They called themselves the Ohio University Online Student Success Center. Something about they have online success coaches and they "want to help you succeed." That's about all I know about it, it was pretty vague. I was going to call back and ask them more details about what they do (and complain too lol). I also got an email from them. Maybe they are still trying to contact everyone. The email didn't arrive until after the phone call.

I'd be more than happy to share their number with anyone, just send me a PM.

Oh yeah, now they want to know if we need help. Where were they 4 weeks ago when we really needed it? I have an idea - why don't the energtic folks at the Ohio University Online Student Success Center work with the course instructors to clean up all the typos and inconsistencies in the materials? And if they have time, maybe they could re-write the rubrics to actually be meaningful too.

I was planning on taking the quiz tonight to get things over with. It was very hectic at work today and since we have the option to wait until Sunday, I think I'll do what I do best - procrastinate - and get a good night's sleep instead.

By the way, I did not get either a phone call or e-mail from them. Maybe they already know how I feel . . .

The study guide is your friend chuckster. That is the only thing that I reviewed. Missed 1 question. Color me done with EBP. DB grade for week 5 is the only thing I am missing. Got the first 2 modules done for stats ... waiting on excellence to appear. We are ALMOST done!!

Study guide is your friend - just sayin'! Just finished up the quiz and glad to put this class behind me. It was a rough one! I'm off for a five-week break. Maybe I'll catch some of you in my future classes. Good luck. Peace out!

I wasn't going to take the quiz later this weekend, but decided I wanted to just get it over with. Took it last night. SO GLAD to be done with this and Gero!!! Thanks to everyone on here that has contributed to this thread over the past five weeks, you all have been a tremendous help to me and I'm sure others too :)

Did anyone see a course evaluation? I emailed the professor, she said E-learning usually adds it. But I still have no evaluation link.

I had a few things I wanted to say if you know what I mean.
