Yes, as your hair flies back from the force of that wet, greasy bit of anal exhaust, our co-workers giggle, which in turn makes us giggle, and keeps things on a light note.
One of my patients took me by the hand & smeared a booger on me, I knew right then & there, if that was the worst the night had to offer, we'd be alright.....
To the op, I completely agree. There are a few that I can't seem to find anything good about. I am not perfect. I will take on the most PITA pt there is and love it. But there are a few that to others aren't bad and I will try my best not to get them.
Everyone thinks I am nuts for loving the pt's that "challenge" the nurses.

Thank you StrwbryblndRN for saving this thread from spiraling downward towards vulgarity. I was speaking earlier, at the beginning, of stinky personalities not stinky smells. Oh well, its a free country, isn't it. Lighten up, y'old CalleCoDe!

Perhaps my fatale flaw but I am one who tries to see something I like about my client/patien/resident
Could be a grump:angthts:, but you have the sweetest family, you must have done something right!
Could be very depressed and subdued:aln::smilecoffeeIlovecof, you were a nurse and so am I!
Could be insulting and rude:redlight:, your smile when lit lights up the world!
Sometimes if I can find some quality that I can latch onto the day will be brighter, the patient's on my team so to speak.
So, I don't expect them to be my friend, but when they are friendly in kind it's definitely a boost.
