How is everyone doing? I start spring 2014. It would be nice to stay in contact with other evc nursing students. I can't wait to start submitting everything with evcbackgroundcheck and attend orientation next month!
My orientation was yesterday. It was kinda fun seeing all the female nursing students while im the only few guy in the room. Did you guy order the book bundle already ?

Hi! I am looking into their program and I want to know if it was hard to get into. was there a waitlist ,lottery, or what was the process and how long did you have to wait??
Thank you?
Also how do you like it so far??

hello!
It is based on the lottery system...over 800 applications were entered, and something like 60 students are accepted I believe? And then there are an extra like 30 students more put on an "alternate list"...of course you have to be eligible with grades and all that to get into the lottery. Since it is lottery based you can either be picked the first time you apply or the 3rd...there's really no knowing..In my case I was put into the alternate list...once you are in that one you can for sure start the next year...you do however have to pass the TEAS test, some people didn't pass it so the alternate (including me) got accepted for this school year. whether you get put into the fall or spring is another lottery where you get split into two groups.
Thankfully I got accepted my first time applying, but I know some people that applied several times and didnt get in (even with straight As) At this point it's kind of luck. I don't start until January so I have no input on the program itself now. GOOD LUCK!!
Oh wow! Congrats. I think most schools are lottery based now. Seems so stressful I'm going to try my luck with multiple schools between here and sacramento and hope I'm accepted with my first application.
