Hello all,
I know there are already a couple of posts for this school, but reading through the threads I didn't get all the information that I was looking for and considering that they are pretty old threads I made a new one because I didn't think anyone would look at those anymore. I've already completed all my prereqs at a community college, but I don't want to wait around forever to get into the community college rn program.
Anyways, I wanted to find out for those who are already in the program or have the info. What kind of studying should I do for their entrance exam? What kind of stuff comes in the tests. I also would like to know the cost or estimated cost of the school. And how do they go about choosing the students for the program? What exactly is the application process?
I've already called the school, but the lady that answered the phone wasn't able to give me much info except for that info sessions are in August and the program starts up again in January.
And if you are already in the program, I would like to know how to do you find the teachers to be?? Would you say that this is a good academic choice??
Please help me as I live really far away from this school and I am moving out there just for the program. It is a little difficult for me to just drive over to visit the school. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
hey I have aqestion for the people that are transfering units, is theraputic communication class the same as speech? What is the jc equivant of english comp 2? I am asking because I am going to citrus college right now and I want to get a few more units to transfer to bring that out of pocket cost down.
I'll start studying for the HESI-A2 re-take and improve my scores next round. That's all I can think of to improve my chances for the next class.
Sounds like a good idea...i could've swore someones said regardless if its a yes or no we'd get a phone call, this is crazy! dates keep getting pushed back, all i want is an honest answer.

Well, I'm sure they are swamped with everything running late for a mid-Jan start. We'll get notified either at the last minute to scramble and quality or try again for the next class. At this point, I'll look forward. :)
I got a call from admissions today, unfortunately, I missed it. From what I've read, that's the next step before picking classes. I am pretty excited. I was getting my BLS when they called. For those of you who have not gotten a call back, hang in there. Don't give up. I started to throw in the towel a few times, but something kept me going. It's been 2 YEARS for me and now everything has fallen into place. So far it's all worth it. I will certainly keep updates on what's going on and if it's worth it. They're being pretty tight lipped about how many spaces are lift. I called the day b4 my f.a. appointment and couldn't get a straight answer. I was told last week that there were only 9 spots left. I think she had it backwards...I think that 9 had been filled at that time. But she's in f.a. and really couldn't tell me, as she wasn't sure.

Thanks for all the info, and CONGRATS! if you do find out how many spots are left (if any) please share:)
I'll too be talking to them to see what I have to do for next co-hort and start saving up cash see if I can save up enough to help me with the first year.
Me too! i didnt get a call but, i hope that i can still be put on the rollover list? hopefully!! hey emt, maybe we'll get in next class together:) can someone remind me when the next class is?
@ emt_anderson-If you make a down payment, it would really help lower your monthly payments. That's what I did. If you are able to save for the next 6 months, you could do that to gear up for the July classes. I've read your posts and it sounds like you should keep trying. Even though you aren't able to come in now, you still have a chance to save up and get prepared for the next enrollment.
