  1. If you're asking me, I went to the info mtg, testing, interview process last fall for last month's class and wasn't accepted. I'm on the 'roll over' list for summer class.
  2. That was my plan, too. Many schools list an LVN-RN Bridge Program but ask them how many students actually get in to them. So far, 5 schools that I've talked to have admitted 2 students into their bridge programs in the last 5 years. Not good odds.
  3. Kyrstal, thank you for this update. These are reasons for me to pause and rethink. FYI about LVN - RN Bridge programs. In my research, they are even harder to get into than an RN program. I've spoken to 5 different schools (National, MSJC, CSUSM, Everest, SDSU) and they have accepted 2 students in all the years of their programs.
  4. Ok, I had to go digging for this info re: therapeutic communications. I had a class in college (another state) that had the same name. It was for ministers, therapists, social workers, pre-med, nursing, etc. It was how to talk effectively with patients in a clinical-type setting. When I was in my Everest interview and she reviewed my transcripts, I was given a tentative approval to transfer that to the Everest program. Does anyone recall if Everest accepts recent CLEP credit?
  5. Ok, got a form email from R-- this morning saying that I was not selected for the Jan. class. If I wanted to be put on the rollover list for July, to let them know. Of course, I hit reply and said 'yes, please put me on the rollover list for July and I would also like to re-test'. R-- responded so I'm in a new waiting cycle. Congrats to all of you who will be in orientation this Friday :clpty:
  6. Well, I'm sure they are swamped with everything running late for a mid-Jan start. We'll get notified either at the last minute to scramble and quality or try again for the next class. At this point, I'll look forward. :)
  7. Nope, no call or email I'll start studying for the HESI-A2 re-take and improve my scores next round. That's all I can think of to improve my chances for the next class.
  8. Congrats to all of you who have gotten through FA & Admissions! :w00t:
  9. Ahh that's good info, Jewels, thank you :)
  10. I just sent a quick, pleasant email to her in hopes of finding out where I am in the process, too, Jewels.
  11. Good morning, all :) Here's hoping the rest of us get our 'phone call' from FA and/or Admissions tomorrow:redbeathe
  12. Thank you for this small and oh-so-important detail, DexandMon! I don't have an FA appt altho I interviewed in Nov. Now I can keep my hopes up to get into the Jan class. Happy New Year, everyone
  13. Hi, Jewels, come over here and sit by me. :) We can stare at the phone together. Hopefully 'the phone call' will be our New Year surprise.
  14. Thanks, Jewels. That means we're not out of the running yet. :)
