if you ever leave nursing

If you ever leave nursing, what career area would you go into? Or if you've ever picked up a second non-nursing job, what types of jobs have they been?

The last sale of Treasury Bonds in August were bought by the New York Fed about 5 days after going on the market--we are talking billions of dollars here--that we just printed up and essentially lent to ourselves. Investors buy bonds because it is their way to say I believe in your product so I will back you up with my money--help you prosper--and when you make a profit I expect you to share it with me. No foreign investors were interested.

Huge inflation is coming!!!I was in Budapest in 1989 when their country was going thru double digit inflation--not a pretty picture.

I lived thru the early 70s when we had 18% inflation. A new car loan was about 22%. Back then inflation was caused by the US fighting the Vietnam war with no tax increases to cover the cost. The government paid for everything by just printing money. Sound familiar? I didn't experience any fear back then but I am afraid now.

Keep the faith, I know how you feel. I have felt that way for 7 years now, ever since I graduated the LVN program . But, you do have one thing going for you more than I do, You Passed your Boards, I did not. Even though I love my job

I have right now as a Program Manager, I still think about all the hard work I put into Nursing, even though I make more money now than I would as an LVN, I still fell a void or let down so to speak. I am now trying to get into a Sleep Medicine Program or something , because I still have a need to be in the medical field or some aspect of it.

I am saying all of this to say I understand how you feel. But maybe you find something else you can do just because you have all that education alone

but good luck to you and hope you realize there is more to life than being a Nurse and just be happy with yourself and not the profession and you will be ok
