If you ever leave nursing, what career area would you go into? Or if you've ever picked up a second non-nursing job, what types of jobs have they been?

I'd probably go with either Photography or Real Estate.

I work part-time as a firefighter/paramedic with the local FD.
IF I could have any job I wanted.....hmmm....maybe coming up with cool names for new tropical storms (cause someone has to make those up!).
Seriously, I'd love to be an author, probably write about the "strange but true".

I would go with psychologist or musician. Obviously for the latter I would have to learn to play something first. It's a pipedream

I'm also a classical musician, but, at my level, it doesn't pay nearly as well as nursing.

Farmer!
When China stops buying up American debt and the greenback is finally proven worthless, when we go through the economic collapse that is inevitable, and when a loaf of bread is $100.00 I want a job that will actually provide food for my family.
If you don't make, hunt, or grow your own food then how do you feed yourself and your family when money becomes worthless?
Oh, I know... The GOVERNMENT will always be there to feed you in tough times right? Yea, you can bet on that.

I would be a writer, spending time learning to speak French and Italian, living between the two countries, having my friends visit from time to time, writing, watching the sunsets.

I have no idea.. something that pays just as well if not better. I'm still looking....
In all seriousness though, I actually want to be a writer and illustrator of children's books, as well as a designer of say, greeting cards, T shirts, etc.. 'Tis my dream.
