ERI World NCLEX Review Is it worth the time?

Published

If anyone has used ERI World NCLEX review and could tell me your view on the online course, that would be great. Our school makes it a mandatory part of our curriculum. Some of my classmates are electing to utilize an additional company for the NCLEX preparation which makes me wonder should I jump on the band wagon with them or should I just stick with the 4 day ERI NCLEX program. Thanks for taking the time to respond. All my best, bunnyinsv.

Well, I can now report that I actually passed and I'm done with nursing school. We took the ERI RN Assessment test and it is officially a done deal. Now to prepare for Nclex.

Good job Brandi !!! Was it Keystone or Rn assessment? How many Q?Just curious.

WE have to take the ERI exit exam at our school. We will be taking the keystone. I hear its a horrible test. We get nothing in prep for it. I asked my teacher how to study and she said to do the practice tests. Anybody that has taken this exam...any hints, suggestions on how to pass??? If we dont pass we dont graduate!!! I know this has no bearing on how one does for the NCLEX. I have heard that several that pass this test with pretty high scores have actually failed NCLEX. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks! We took the RN Assessment exam. The entire test was 18 sections of 10 and 11 questions (roughly 180 + questions). We had the school set us up for the PreRN practice exams over the weekend to help us prepare. One practice exam was 220 questions and the other was 100+ questions. I did come across a couple of questions in the Exit exam that were on these exams. Once I had completed the test I just knew that I was going to have to retake it...It seems like I sat there forever waiting on that little bar across the top of the screen to tally my score...LOL it was awful. :~) Well now its time to prepare for Nclex.

Hey 2B, I just completed the Rn assessment ERI test yesterday. To prepare for my exit I pretty much downloaded the ERIs to my IPOD and listened to them over and over again. I took all the Practice and Proctored exams as well as the PreRN long and short practice exams. The long exam is 200 or more questions and will take you a couple of hours to complete. The short practice test will take about an hour to 1 1/2 hrs to complete, but they are both good practice tools. Good luck! Hope this helps.

Congrats on passing!! :yeah: Good luck on the NCLEX !!!

Thanks on the tip! I have about a month to prep.

I had to sit through an entire semester of taking ERI questions, quizzes and tests to prepare us for my nursing program's exit exam which was the Keystone exam OUCH!!! The Keystone exam is very difficult and we were only allowed to take the test twice. If after two unsuccessful attempts the student was required to retake the semester. OUCH!! OUCH!! I did pass the exit keystone exam on the first try but just barely. I hope that the Keystone is not like the NCLEX if it is I'm definately looking at some trouble. :twocents:

Nothing like the NCLEX. If you paid attention in nursing school, NCLEX will not be a problem. I used hurst and Kaplan, I think i would have been fine without either. Definitely would have been healthier without the stress of getting kicked out of nursing school for failing Keystone twice. I have seen ERI document that state the Keystone should not be used for assessment purposes!!
