Since ATI provides no student assistance to interpret scores, let's help each other! If enough of us enter our complete TEAS scores, we'll be able to compare notes to see how we rank in different programs, what to aim for if your school requires a Program percentile rank rather than a series of scores, etc. There is another thread where people are sharing their scores, but it looks like most people are just sharing their Adjusted Individual Total Score or whatever applies to their particular school. By sharing all the info, we can help each other better.

Please copy the scores below and then change them to your own, in your post! thanks! Please make sure to check your Program Type! It's right under the name of the school where you took it, on your score sheet.

I did not do well on reading section of TEAS test. Please anyone give me any advice for this part. Thanks so much,

Me too. I did worse second time on reading comprehension, and I really studied for it. I looked up topics I was weak on and took several practice tests. I did greatly improve on information source comprehension. I am bummed. I thought I would do better. I ran out of time on last two questions the first time, and I still managed to score higher than the second time. It's very frustrating. My overall would be much higher if it weren't for those darn passages. :( Ironically, I love to read and read all the time for fun when I am not studying.

I did pretty well in all other sections, but the reading. Passage/paragraph comprehension was rough. I did even worse on passage comprehension the second time, but I did improve in information source comprehension. I researched topics in the reading section I was weak on and took several practice tests. I thought I would do better the second time around. :( I am very bummed. I scored higher the first time when I ran out of time on the last two questions and had to guess. I'm very disappointed in and frustrated with myself. I don't know why it's such a difficult section for me. I love to read. I would have a much higher and more competitive overall score if it weren't for that darn reading section.

The ATI study guide is a must-have book in order to prepare for the TEAS V. Personally, I did not find the online ATI practice exams of much help.

I thought the online tests were amazingly helpful. I found the questions on the study guide practice tests weren't really like the questions on the actual test.

I Took my test 1/29/2015.

Some of guys did exceptionally well...what was your study habits and what did you use to prepare for it?

I didn't do as well as some people on here, but here is what I did. As a side note, I took the test after taking all my prerequisites, bio, chem, A&P I and II, and statistics. I also have a BA, so I had taken english composition. I am not sure if I could have passed the test without taking all of these courses. I wouldn't suggest taking the test without at least completing your science and math prerequisites.

First, I bought the ATI study guide. I wish I had bought it with the online practice tests, which I ended up buying separately. I read the study guide, cover to cover, and took the practice tests in the back. Then I freaked out, because I didn't do that well. I did fine on the math section, but I had just finished my statistics course, so I was confident in this section. I really decided to focus my study on the science section.

I used this post exclusively for my science studying. I went down rainbowvahmet's list of topics and made a study guide of each item. For the most part, I used videos from Khan academy. I also went to google and youtube, but really, almost everything I needed was on Khan academy. I spent about 2 weeks making a study guide, and spent about an hour a day reviewing for another 2 weeks.

Then I bought the 2 online practice tests from ATI. I was blown away at how different the reading and english usage sections were on the online test compared to the book practice test. I scored a 79 on version A, and an 84 on version B. I was disappointed, but it was at least passing. I needed a composite of 60% to be considered for my program. I did not like that the practice test scored the items as you go. I really really really really really freaked out in the science section of version B after getting 4 wrong in a row. I think I would have done better had I not panicked.

So I had 1 week left before my exam. I went back and revised my study guide based on what I got wrong on the online practice exams. I kept reviewing about an hour a day. I went into the test pretty calm, and felt ok after the reading and math section of the test. I felt like I bottomed out on the science section. The english usage section had some sentence ordering questions that I hadn't seen before, which threw me for a loop. I was so nervous after I finished the english usage section, I accidentally submitted it before I had a chance to review. But my score popped up and I got a 90.7%!

I think it is really important, no matter how confident you are, to buy the online practice tests. On my first attempt at the reading section, I answered the question based on the instructions on how to open the article, rather than on the article itself. I felt really silly, but at least I did it on the practice and not the real exam. I felt much more confident at least knowing how the exam was going to be presented. Take the practice test, figure out what areas are weak for you, and do all that you can to prepare on those areas. I never thought I would do this well on the TEAS V exam. I hope this, admittedly rambling, post can help you prepare and do as well, or hopefully better, than I did!

I did much better on the Science section of the real TEAS V than on my practice tests. I averaged about a 92% overall on the McGraw-Hill tests, and got a 90.7% overall on the ATI Form A Practice Test. The other sections were very close to my practice test scores, so I feel like they gave me a good idea of where I was going to be!
