Could someone let me know the process of endorsement of a CA LVN license to TX LVN?

Did you look at the Texas BoN website for information? Are you a graduate from an LVN school or did you get your license by equivalency? Only graduates from vocational / practical nursing schools are eligible for licensing in states other than CA.

Obtain the information from the Texas BON website. When I looked into it many years ago, they sent you some type of questionnaire for you to answer before they would even send you the application. But you will find the necessary current information by accessing their website.
Yes I did graduate from an lvn school. The website looks very intimidating but I just pulled up the online application process and seems like basic information. Do you guys know if the wait it long?
Wait is relative. Did you follow all the steps? Did you submit all required documents? Have you practiced ( paid ) as a nurse in the past 4 years? Did you complete the jurisprudence exam? Most times listed on this site were IENs where application more complicated.
I have not practiced as a nurse I recently passed the CA nclex and husband just got military orders to Texas
If new grad it's a non issue. It's for those who graduated 3+ years ago and never worked. They may expedite military families

I completed a VN program in California in 2005, relocated to Texas later that year and received a TX LVN license by endorsement in early 2006. The entire endorsement process took six weeks from start to finish.
However, the majority of the wait time was the result of the notoriously slow California BVNPT. Their staff took forever to mail my licensure verification forms to the Texas BON.

Yes you do have to take the nursing jurisprudence exam, and you can take it 15 days after you apply, it's an open book test and very simple. You also have to do your fingerprints, you should have received a form that allows you to do your fingerprints.
Do I have to contact BVNPT to ask for nursing verification form and pay them $75? How long did it take you to transfer from CA to TX license? Can I pm you if I have any question? thabk ou for your help

Hey everyone hope this thread is still on going. I'm a CA LVN looking to endorse into Texas, but the TX BON website states a minimum requirement of actively working as a LVN for 10 years before they will endorse. Is this new? Seems like others had no issue with this requirement....
