Emory University BSN/BSN 2nd Degree, Fall 2012 Applicants

U.S.A. Georgia

Published

Hi Everyone!

I am getting ready to apply to Emory's Fall 2012 BSN for 2nd Degree program and thought it may be helpful to start up a little forum/therapy group-ha.

If you are:

currently applying/a former applicant/a current Emory BSN student/a current BSN/MSN student, I'd love to hear from you!

Has everyone finished their pre-recs? Does anyone else have a non competitive undergrad (like me) G.P.A.? Does anyone know who is considered a competitive applicant? Where is everyone else applying?

I look forward to speaking with everyone...and hopefully entering the Fall '12 class together!

I am a current student and some of my classmates said last year, they got accepted two weeks after and I even know one who was accepted in late March. So dont freak out your chances of getting in is still very very high. Also, opus updates once a day so it might be that your acceptance letter was posted after the update so you will see it tomorrow. keeping my fingers cross for you.

Very disappointed :sniff:, I was put on the "wait list".

I've been accepted as well. I'm happy!

I was put on the wait list as well. What does this mean and what are my chances of getting a spot? I am so disappointed!!!

@Contenta

Don't lose hope! I am sure a lot of people who were accepted will choose a school that doesn't cost as much money, freeing up spots! Good luck!

Has anyone's FAFSA been removed from your "to do" list on OPUS?

Congrats to all who got in!!!! You all worked very hard I am sure and you deserve it. See you all next Fall little juniors Muhaha:bugeyes: Or maybe in April for those attending the day for accepted students.

Replying to your earlier question. I do live close to campus. 2.5 miles away. I found my place off the off campus housing website. It was very helpful.

And Service Learning Projects can take place on the weekend I believe. A majority are during the week, however.

I am IN as well :)

cant explain how happy & excited i am....its so unreal!!!!!

:) ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh the wait i over

Thank you God!

Hi,

I still have FAFSA on my do list. Only thing removed was college board application. Now we all have to figure out money part. Since, I got accepted into both Mercer and Emory, I really have to compare the fees as Mercer is $10,000 per semester vs. almost $20,000 in Emory.

Anyways, right now I am still enjoying the fact that I got into my dream colleges. Will worry about financial later...))

@Jai5143 you received your financial aid packet already?

I would definitely pay the extra 10k to go to Emory, I think that is a steal of a deal to attend a top school. According to USNEWS's list of best nursing programs in America, Emory ranks as #21. Also it is the ranked as the 20th best school in America and #114 in the world!

Anyone know what kind of information they send out for the people on the wait list and when they will send it out?

I've been wait listed too - I was told the last day for notifications of acceptance is April 15. I don't know how common it is to move off the wait list though.
