Hi Everyone!
I am getting ready to apply to Emory's Fall 2012 BSN for 2nd Degree program and thought it may be helpful to start up a little forum/therapy group-ha.
If you are:
currently applying/a former applicant/a current Emory BSN student/a current BSN/MSN student, I'd love to hear from you!
Has everyone finished their pre-recs? Does anyone else have a non competitive undergrad (like me) G.P.A.? Does anyone know who is considered a competitive applicant? Where is everyone else applying?
I look forward to speaking with everyone...and hopefully entering the Fall '12 class together!

OMG I got in! By The Way, I wasn't nearly as excited as I thought I would be, but I'm extremely happy. Now I just need to take that TEAS test, finish Chemistry II, take Human Development and get over my fear of flying... Yes I'm afraid of flying. I live in NYC and haven't been on a plane in 16 years. So now I must get over my fear and put my ASS on a plane to GA (actually I just came from there a month ago coming from FL by car). If financial aid is good to me, I promise you I will be on that plane come this August! See you guys then!
Congrats to all those who have been accepted! And to those who have not been accepted, I was in the very same position that you are in last year, I know how it feels. Don't let your family members put you down . The best advice I can give is to complete those prerequisites, if your in a community college get your associates degree; colleges like to see that you have accomplished what you've started, and try becoming a Health Home Aid. In my area HHA's make $12-$14 an hour. Love you all! Peace! Now to get back to studying for my Chemistry II exam, which by the way is very very difficult (at least for me)!
Can't wait to tell my family, friends, and facebook friends :) (I came here to share the good news with you guys first!).
Congrats to all that got in! I haven't received my decision yet I keep checking OPUS and it still says not available. The school made a lot of errors with my application, so I am worried on how that will effect their decision and the timing with it. Did anyone else have them make errors with their application? I am so nervous and just want an answer!!!
@ KEG85. Not that I want to hear you haven't gotten an answer yet, however, missery loves company. I am in the same boat. NO DECISION YET! I am so afraid that in this case .. no news is bad news! :-(
I hate not knowing!!! Now I question???..... Was there a problem with my application also?
Are they waiting to post the "not accepted" people til tomorrow????? ugggg.
Has anyone else had them be flaky with their application? They have made several errors with mine. First, they misplaced my application fee and I had to re-send my confirmation email proving that I had paid it back in the beginning of Dec. Then one of my transcripts went missing and I had to pay $40 to overnight it to them. After all of that hassle they said my social science elective was incomplete. Once I pointed out to them that I had 3 extra social science electives, they stated that they were going to update my OPUS account, but it still says incomplete. I am so beyond frustrated and am fearful on how this will effect the final decision. I sent Ms. Weinert another email, hopefully she'll get back to me with reassuring news. FINGERS CROSSED :)
Hi KEG85,
I have not had any problem with my application, but according to Opus they are missing my final transcript for A&P II and the human development class. I actually sent that transcript in early January and just figured that Opus had not been updated. I am really hoping that is the reason Opus still says decision unavailable and not because I just wasn't accepted!
