Emory Nurse Residency Fall 2020

Published

I want to start off by saying I hope everyone is staying safe! I’m currently in my last term of nursing school, I just applied to the Emory Nurse Residency Program fall 2020. I’m stressed about the process in general but with everything CoVID related I’m afraid that I won’t be considered a strong applicant, my clinical for the last two terms has been cancelled and We’ve been forced to do everything online. Anyone else feel this way? Has anyone applied to any residency programs?

@NurseLou22 from what I heard they are no longer hiring. All the positions have been filled for their Summer 2020 residency. I applied way back in April and to this day I never heard from them.

@NurseLou22 can you still see your application? Mine still says under review

@NurseLou22 yes I can still see it. And it says under review too ?

@NurseLou22 this is annoying

Update for anyone applying to Northside NICU Residency. They are no longer hiring for Fall 2020 at all locations. The application has been moved to Spring 2021 ?

Thanks for the update! Anyone know anything about Mother Baby at Northside in the Fall?

I have not heard anything...I applied for Mother Baby as well.

I applied for Acute Care Residency at Northside and the next day my status was changed to "considering - pending initial candidate review" but I applied for Mother Baby and the Spring 2021 programs weeks ago and have not had any updates.

FYI there are some Emory OR spots now available on the interview scheduling link

Also,

2 spots for General Surgery at Decatur, 2 spots General Medicine at Decatur, 1 Med-Tele Stroke Decatur, 2 Medical Oncology Decatur, 4 Ortho-Neuro Decatur, 11 Acute Rehab at ERH, 5 Hillandale Med-Surg, 8 long term acute care, 11 St. Joseph's GI/GI Surgical/Bariatric, 2 St Joseph's - Neuro/Vascular/Orthopedics, and 4 St Joseph's - Renal/Urology

Does anyone know what are good options if you can't get into a residency/ positions that don't require experience?

Do you know anything about NICU..Mother baby or L&D?

Has anyone who is interviewing this week and signed up received zoom links yet?
