So the application for the Fall 2015 BSN traditional/ ABSN/MSN has just opened up. I thought it may be nice to start a thread so any of the applicants can check on each others processes and get to know one another..
@lagirl_1989: I think it's okay to take all of your prereqs after you find out if you've been accepted as long as they are completed by the time the summer semester starts. I honestly am not sure if they factor in when you apply. I think the application was due december 1....i think they make decisions about the people that submitted it then first, and then make decisions about the people that submitted it after that deadline. I chose the ABSN/MSN route because i have absolutely no desire to work as a RN...I'm really into Primary Care and this was the fastest way to get me to become a PNP. However, there are some people that do choose to work as a RN...it just depends on your preference.
@ fjjones . the website states that ABSN ONLY application is due 1/15

. Are there any ABSN candidates in your class? I wish to obtain an RN license first, then see where it takes me, start working, then go back to school part time. I do not want to come out after years of school with a mountain of debt.
Yeah, I'm about to go eat my feelings in the form of a giant tub of Checkers fries...Sorry I brought up the interview possibility, I just got a little freaked when jns1md posted about scheduling an interview, even though he/she applied for BSN only. My B! Fingers crossed that we all find out very soon!
Sorry, didn't mean to freak anyone out! But to clarify - I applied for the FNP MSN program. I am graduating this May with my BSN, so I am NOT applying to the ABSN/MSN, just the MSN for current BSN nurses! :)

The transition for me was actually nice. I'm from Chicago and I moved down to Atlanta 10 days before class started. Since the ABSN/MSN started in the Summer, we were the only people at the Nursing school so the transition was very nice. The professors at Emory are VERY helpful and everyone wants you to succeed...they definitely make sure that everyone is doing well.
My speciality is Pediatric NP - Primary Care
