Has anyone else applied for Emory’s Distance- Accelerated BSN for Spring 2021?
I submitted my application and materials prior to the priority deadline. Waiting to hear back on Nov. 13th. Fingers crossed!

They said they had strong clinical placement in Seattle and I agreed to the possibility of traveling there for clinicals. I asked about elsewhere in Washington and a couple other places in the US that I have places to stay. Basically, I wait until they reach out with a more concrete agreement/acceptance.

That is very helpful.
Did they make you withdraw your application? Or are they moving forward with the process to petition with the state?
No, it was a phone call to see whether I was flexible in where I could travel for clinicals. They offered Seattle and I said I would be willing to consider the possibility. I also asked if they had relationships in place in a few other cities that would be convenient for me to travel. It's only 3x in the program and all my travel points are definitely not being used. He did say there *may* be a possibility in the future, but not to hinge my decision on that possibility. So, it was my decision to move forward or not based on my flexibility.

Best of luck to you. Hope it all works out.
Thanks - you too! Btw, I was noting Oregon's process for allowing out of state programs clinical access. I have no idea what other states have in place. He did mention that CA was the most difficult and Texas is also particularly difficult.

Hi @jcnurse2b it's going good. I checked OPUS last night and saw that I was admitted to Emory's Master of Nursing (MN). It's great to be offered admission...but I have a lot to consider. How about you? Have you checked OPUS???

thanks for the good energy! It helped to get me accepted into Emory.
Just now, wildepanda said:Just received my admission to the D-ABSN program yesterday. Definitely a relief to have an admission in my pocket and have found some good reviews from those in the past couple cohorts.
Congratulations! That's awesome. I think it's a great option for those that want the Emory education without being in Georgia.

I'm so happy for you. Still haven't received any admissions decisions yet... I applied on December 2nd... although I didn't submit a personal statement yet I am just about to.

Congratulations! I am happy for you. Hopefully we are in the same cohort! I applied on December 2nd, did you also apply around then? I was expecting to hear a decision in March but I'm happy to hear that you heard it earlier. Do you mind sharing any information that might help me to strengthen my application?
