Emory Accepted Students Fall 2011

Published

Hello! I have been accepted to Emory's 2011 BSN program, and I wanted to create a new place for those that have also been accepted to keep in contact as we prepare for the fall. I am also interested in current and past students to offer any vital information that will help make this transition easier. I know this will be a very challenging program and I can only imagine everything I must do to be successful. So all advice and discussion are welcome!

As of now, I am very anxious about financial aid because it is unlikely that I will be able to submit my income tax return by March 15th. What are all my joining class thinking about now that we got the acceptance part out the way?:yelclap:

Hi Amisadai! I am a 1st degree BSN student! Congratulations on your acceptance!

I also received a called from an Emory student yesterday. I was in class and couldn't answer my phone, but she left a really nice message and her number if I have any questions. That was so nice!!

@Amisadai - Both Emory and Duke have wonderful programs, but my first choice at this point is Duke - I am a 2nd degree student and love that that program truly caters to it...we'll see...

I am a 2nd degree student too. I haven't received my admission letter by mail and I am anxiously waiting for it. I am worried about the high tuition too, but moving out of Atlanta even to a community college will be almost the same cost for me because then I will have to pay rents.

I can't wait to see what financial aid has to offer.

Congrats once more to y'all.

Hey everyone! Who on here is starting the ABSN/MSN program this summer? I was thinking we could start our own thread and get some convo going. Is there a thread already?

Or maybe a facebook page???

@ Creece15 :Can you please send the study guide you have to me. My email is [email protected]

For all those who were wondering where to finish up their prerequisites. Georgia gwinnett college has summer programs that last a month per course. For their organic chem, classes are held Mon through Thurs, and labs Mon to Wed. Deadline for application is April 1st. Check out their website at www.ggc.edu.

Thanks hereicome!

For those looking for school to finish faster, i'm attending life university in marietta and they offer 5- week organic chem and even many other courses. check out our website at life.edu

then go quarterly schedule. it's a quarter system school.

all the best to u all.

Have you all received your information package? I haven't received mine. I saw my decision online two days after the others, but I thought i should have received the package by now especially as i live in Atlanta. I was wondering if i should go ahead and call Admissions Office.
