Emory Accepted Students Fall 2011

Hello! I have been accepted to Emory's 2011 BSN program, and I wanted to create a new place for those that have also been accepted to keep in contact as we prepare for the fall. I am also interested in current and past students to offer any vital information that will help make this transition easier. I know this will be a very challenging program and I can only imagine everything I must do to be successful. So all advice and discussion are welcome!

As of now, I am very anxious about financial aid because it is unlikely that I will be able to submit my income tax return by March 15th. What are all my joining class thinking about now that we got the acceptance part out the way?:yelclap:

The "packet" you are referring to is umm 2 sheets of paper lol

One was a thing about the deposit ..saying check here if your coming and put your 250 check with it.....and the other was the letter..about what prereqs you still have, the teas, and the deposit....

Those were the major parts lol

I wish it was a packet full of info :-(

Lol!! I was totally expecting every piece of information I ever needed in that "packet"!!! Oh well, thanks for letting me know. Guess I'll be calling the admissions office everytime I have a question. ;)

The course at Georgia perimeter college requires you to go to school once a week for lab. All lectures and tests and online, but you MUST go to school for lab.

When is the deadline to pay the $250 deposit. I haven't received the information package yet.

HELP!!!

When is the last date to finish all our prereqs? I am currently taking Chem 1 and i still have chem 2 and organic chem. I'll take chem 2 next quarter and organic chem during the summer, but i need to know the deadline so i can decide whether or not to transfer to another school during summer, depending on the school's summer calendar. Please i'll appreciate your suggestions on what to do.

@hereicome - when I spoke with admissions they said that we had until the end of Aug - basically until we start at Emory. Fall 2010 began 8/27, so I would assume Fall 2011 would begin about the same time, though there may be orientation.

@oaktown2. Thanks for the response. My schools summer program ends by mid August and if i don't transfer, then that should be when I'll finish my prereqs. I hope that will be ok. I'll wait and see what the package has and I might call Katie to see if that will be ok. I really don't want to transfer to another school just for the Organic Chem.
