Emory Accepted Students Fall 2011

Hello! I have been accepted to Emory's 2011 BSN program, and I wanted to create a new place for those that have also been accepted to keep in contact as we prepare for the fall. I am also interested in current and past students to offer any vital information that will help make this transition easier. I know this will be a very challenging program and I can only imagine everything I must do to be successful. So all advice and discussion are welcome!

As of now, I am very anxious about financial aid because it is unlikely that I will be able to submit my income tax return by March 15th. What are all my joining class thinking about now that we got the acceptance part out the way?:yelclap:

OMG!! I just found out Chem 2 at my school (GTC) has an organic component. I am sooo excited. Thank God i don't have to transfer to another school.

Anyone here apply to the FNP/CNM program? If so, what do they look for in applicants? Is it worth the extra semester to do both now?

Second question, anyone receive any merit based scholarships? Criteria they look for?

@dancingnurse13 - I think most of us on this thread are BSN students. There was another thread of people applying to Emory for the Fall and there were at least some ABSN students, so you might want to search for that thread and also ask your question there.

Hi! Congrats to everyone that has been accepted. I have also been accepted:yeah: and also very excited. I'm really nervous about whether or not I can attend though, it all depends on the fin aid pckg. Has anyone gotten replies?

I'm crossing my fingers on the fin aid and hopefully I will be able to join you at Emory. Looking forward to meeting all of you:)

Congrats on your acceptance! I was told by Admissions that we should receive our packages through OPUS during the middle of this week...She didn't give a specific day. I'm very anxious to see my financial package! I'll keep you all posted on whether I'm pleased with it or not...

I appreciate the info. I hope we all get institutional grants, etc... but that's wishful thinking. I'll keep u posted on mine too when I hear something. R u going to the accepted students day? I don't know if I can make it bcause it's the class b4 my lab final n we're supposed to be doing a review. I don't think I can afford to miss it....
