Hi everyone!
I figured I would start a thread for the upcoming application cycle for Emory's ABSN program. I am excited to get everything in and apply, I am just waiting to take my TEAS.
Great plan! I was considering taking the TEAS as well since I only took the GRE. I took the GRE cold so not very happy with my scores, so hoping my GPA helps. Trying to decide between that and retaking the GRE, but it would be tough studying for it right now with my other prereqs in progress. How did you do on the GRE?
Hi! Sounds like I'm in the same exact situation as you except a year behind. Only thing is, I'm still a senior at USC. My ACT was a 24 and my SAT was a 1190 which I'm afraid will hold me back. How is the TEAS? And would you recommend I take it to strengthen my application? I also have about 1000 hours of experience in a hospital
I would take the TEAS if I were you as an additional component to your application. I took the TEAS because it was required by another school I applied to and got a 94 after one and a half days of studying. I literally bought my study book on a Sunday and finished up review on a Monday so I could take the exam Tuesday afternoon. I had to abide by a deadline otherwise I would've taken more time to study up on my life science stuff as it was my lowest score at an 87%. The math section is incredibly easy. I got every question right in that section and the only stuff I actually studied wasn't even on it so that was helpful. Overall, it's not a difficult exam at all, in my opinion. I think most people have an issue with time, but I made sure to take a couple practice tests before hand. Try to go through each exam question at least twice!
Has anyone heard anything new about the waitlist? Has anyone who was waitlisted been accepted? Does anyone know roughly how many are on the waitlist?
I was waitlisted back in January and STILL haven't heard anything smh. The thing with Emory is they accept people all the way up until fall right before the program starts, so you really won't know how long you are going to wait. Thankfully I was accepted into a different nursing program beginning this May. Waiting this long for an acceptance into a nursing program is s bit crazy to me. But on the bright side, that opens up a spot for someone who is still waiting :-)

I was also waitlisted for Emory in Feb. and haven't heard anything. I applied to 2 other programs, accepted to one so far, and will likely attend one of them unless I hear back from Emory in time. Where are you planning to attend @CaliAmor?
