So I decided to start a thread for the Fall 2017. Any current/prospective student on here? What GPA did you have when you applied and how competitive is the selection process? If you don't mind sharing your work experience and GRE score, that will be awesome. For those who are enrolled, do you mind sharing your experience?
Yeah, I cannot personally understand the cost. I did some math I'd like to share, Emory Medicine's cost per credit hour is $1,112, Emory PA School (ranked 3rd PA school in the nation) is $783 per credit hour, and Emory Nursing is $1,527. Furthermore comparing Emory's program to other "top" nursing schools: Vanderbilt is $1,349 per credit hour and Columbia is $1,450 per credit hour. My point in providing these numbers is that I do not understand how the extra cost of Emory's program will further prepare us for a career in healthcare more so than any of these other tracks/programs. Please let me know of any varying perspectives. Certainly the quality of all these other programs is on par with Emory Nursing's curriculum (I totally understand the differences of programs but the end goals are the same). Just like iserlohn I am not trying to be negative, I am honestly curious how others are justifying the cost of this one program with the known burden of intense private loan debt after we're done.
Fingers crossed for u. At this point, I am looking at other options.
Yes, I had applied Dec 15 and there had been a ..lets say a "mix up".. in the Admissions office which had delayed them from making a decision by Jan 15 for me. I have a strong feeling I would have had better luck last round with more open spaces available.....

I guess we are all worried about the cost. I have been thinking of a better option but it is late for me now. The truth is, accelerated nursing programs at top schools are expensive. I can't stop thinking of how much debts I will be in by the time I graduate.
