my name is allison shaffer and it's nice to meet you. i know we will all be close because it's a small group. it would be nice to get to know some of you before november 17. :)
great job Mi'chelle,
I hope I don't freak out if I ever get in a situation like that.
Katie, do you guys still have another test before Hesi?
If so,wow, that sure is close to finals.
How has 4th semester been overall for you guys, anyways.
For those in ECC, what are the hospitals/instructors that are avaiable for clinicals, give us some insights, please.
Good luck everyone, only a few more weeks.............

We have a 3 day medspub review class next week, neuro test the week after, and "big" hesi the week after that.
About instructors: if any of you at ECC or NLC have F. Y. instructor's name on the sign up sheet you need to put her clinical as your first choice. Don't worry about the hospital or schedule. She is relaxed and works with her students. Tonight, my clinical group had dinner together where we all hugged her and thanked her for being so wonderful to us. She even told us that she would attend our pinning ceremony to cheer for us. :redpinkhe I heard that Ms. P. M. is also a nice clinical instructor. Katie

Wow, how on earth are you reviewing in one week everything you done in 2 years.
Thanks for the info.
There was a newspaper reporter at the 'review class' today.
...One person was taking pics, and the other person asked a couple of us questions.
I don't even know what paper it was...I'll have to find out so I can be looking for the story. It's about the instructor shortage & the online program.
What was the deal about THR and ECC combining lecture next semester?
Is that for 4th semester lecture??? I can't find where it was talked about.
We were told we could possibly transfer, but if that be the case, there won't be room! We are told this semester there's not any room w/o the THR group.
Ok...gotta study....gotta get past the final before worrying about anything else! :uhoh21:

I would like to read the article, too. If you find out the name of the paper let me know, please. Katie

Review class, are you talking about Psych?
Yes, do find out what paper it was , I would like to read it also.
I have heard nothing about THR combining with us, where have you heard that? Interesting.........
It may not have been THR, but it was on one of these ECC/NLC threads about one of the distance programs combining with ECC's lecture next semester.
The paper was the Dallas Morning News, but I don't know when/if it will actually print.
The "Review Class" is our lecture substitute. We don't get a lecture. All we get is someone reading the syllabus to us, and vaguely reviewing stuff on it, one or two case studies, and a few questions out of a NCLEX review book that are 100 X easier than test questions.
------All of only 2 hours per week.

Wow, you did great. I have seen real CPR once in a restaurant. Two men were already doing it so I just checked if they were doing the right way and left.
