i know some of us have received our letters so i was wondering who else i will be making this journey with for the next 2 years.

my name is allison shaffer and it's nice to meet you. i know we will all be close because it's a small group. it would be nice to get to know some of you before november 17. :)

Yes, at the end of 3rd semester we started talking about buying pins with nursing symbols. This semester we haven't discussed it so far. Brie, Allison do you know anything about pins? Katie

Our pinning ceremony is Dec. 15th...I thought NL and THR was with us too??? I'm not going because I'll be on a plane to Hawaii for a Hawaiian cruise! WOOT! WOOT!! I couldn't really care less about that formal crap anyway hehehe. Just put RN behind my name because that's all I really care about! :balloons:

Fun- yeah you pay $139 to BNE and then $250 to the testing (Pearson Vue) and then the $10 fingerprinting and a passport photo both of which I am getting done tomorrow! So exciting!!

I'm definitely planning to be a part of my pinning ceremony. I also still plan on getting a white hat & white uniform and having a pic made to morph with the pic of my nanny, great aunt and aunt.

Yep...I have to make it....gotta get the pic made! :D

Fun, I think I have seen that picture on your site. You will look great there. :balloons: By the way, how do you like this new 2-hour review "lecture" at NLC? We think that they will do more and more online classes in the future due to not having enough instructors to teach. :uhoh3:

I'm talking about the one that you can see on my AllNurses' "Public Profile" of my nanny, my nanny's sister, and my nannny's daughter....all 3 graduated nursing school together.

As far as the online course, I like it. I'd still rather not go in for the 2-hour review. I really think it's more of a waste of study time, and gas money. I hope 4th for me is online too.

That's a wonderful idea! This day and age it would be really easy to get done also! Please post it on your website after you've done it! I've seen that pic on your website and that is so awesome you have all of that in your family! Plus- you'll be able to walk across the stage in May. We're supposed to come back in May----um no way...I'll be done with my Internship and practicing as a real nurse and ECC will be soooo far in my distant memory! :lol2:

I think online lectures are awesome! I can go at my own pace and eat whenever I want (which isn't a good thing! hahaha). It's hard to go to actual lecture when I know the material will be posted online!
