i know some of us have received our letters so i was wondering who else i will be making this journey with for the next 2 years.
my name is allison shaffer and it's nice to meet you. i know we will all be close because it's a small group. it would be nice to get to know some of you before november 17. :)
I like the evening shift, too. The only problem is that when I get home I am hungry and I really shouldn't eat at 2300. :uhoh21:By the way, who is your 3rd semester lecture instructor? Is it Ms. S.?
lol...I know it's really late when I get home. I try not to eat anything besides a little bit of pretzels on the way home. I'd get sick to my stomach being up late w/o anything in my stomach.
Our lectures are online as well...Ms. Reding is hosting the review sessions.
We did our test review today...I missed the same ones today as I did on the exam.
Good luck Allison!! :balloons:
Is anyone going to the Parkland dinner tomorrow night? I'm going but I heard they only hire BSN students in their ICUs....who knows.
I won't go. I have just finished two evening clinicals, lecture review is tomorrow with Baylor food. I need to sleep some times. Good luck on the interview. I am sure you are going to get the internship. :balloons:
By the way, Methodist must have great and supportive internships (they were very professional when they visited us at NLC). Katie
They're pulling Stanfield off of the vent today. (As in they're taking her off of life support because when I first heard I thought they were weaning her off of the vent). It's really very sad. We're not able to visit her because of how critical she is right now. We are definitely planning on attending her funeral. We don't foresee her surviving off of the vent for very long.

Where are you planning on Interning? Medical City has their open house next Tuesday (Oct 2nd). If you don't already have the info, let me know and I'll send it to you. You have to call to RSVP
I really like Methodist because they are so supportive of education. I wouldn't have been able to work anywhere else during school right now and they're so flexible with me. The nurses where I am are all so nice...those are the reasons I want to stay. I hope I get it!
Thank you everyone for your good wishes on my interview! That's why I love this place!

OMG.... How terribly sad! Please update me when you hear anything else.
I'm forwarding the info you give to me to my 3rd semester classmates.
Thanks.

Katie- I think you just keep that second fingerprint card? I went to a place that electronically sent my prints to the BNE so I am not sure on the mail in thing.
We got lunch from Baylor....I'm sooooo not interested in them but I'll apply anyway lol. My choices are Methodist first, Parkland second, Medical City Dallas third, Presby fourth, and Baylor 5th...they're building a Baylor McKinney too! We're getting 2 hospitals out there now! lol. Methodist is supposed to come talk to us sometime....I have my interview with Methodist October 5th!!! I'm so nervous AND excited! :)
