i know some of us have received our letters so i was wondering who else i will be making this journey with for the next 2 years.
my name is allison shaffer and it's nice to meet you. i know we will all be close because it's a small group. it would be nice to get to know some of you before november 17. :)
Congrats Bree, 78 is passing. :wink2: For this test I read a lot. I go to class, read both Iggy and Lewis, try to watch most of the lecture videos on eCampus and I practice a lot of NCLEX questions. I read a LOT this semester. Do you have our Wednesday lecture videos on your eCampus? We did some review questions once in class and I found similar questions to those on test1. So it worth going to class or watch the videos online.Katie
Well I guess I gotta read more! I didn't do any NCLEX questions this time because I just didn't manage my time well... I am determined to pass this semester and graduate in December! :chuckle

You have an option of whether to go to class, or watch the videos online?
My lecture instructor has been recording her previous 3rd semester lectures and ours, too. We do have to go to class but before or after classes we can watch her talking on eCampus.
When it comes to psych. lectures we don't go to class. The psych. instructor is a different person and she has all her lectures online. For 3 weeks we only go to clinicals, everything else is online. We go to NLC to take the psych. test. After that we continue lectures with the original instructor at NLC. And since Brie and me has the same instructor we can watch/hear each other's lectures online. At least I could do that on eCampus.

I think everyone needs a friend who is willing to pull them aside and say, "You're starting to annoy the class/teacher. Be quiet for awhile."
This is one of my favorite stories from Brian Andreas:
"Can I count on you to be there, no matter what? she said & I said no & she said what kind of friend are you? & I said the kind who won't lie to you any time you want & I think she kept me around as a curiosity after that"
Everyone needs friends like that, dontcha think?
Wellllllllllll I sent everything certified last week and I just got a call from them!!! I know it doesn't sound like a big deal but they set up a telephone interview with me for next Thursday!! They asked me which department I was interested in and I, of course, said ICU and they said they needed to know so they could get the Head Nurse in ICU to come in for the interview.
Any news? I still have my fingers crossed.

Just saw the posts from the El Centro students. It made my heart flutter!!! I am in Indiana now but i graduated from there in 1985. I had my transcripts out today because I am thinking of doing a bridge program. I was on the Eastfield campus. Good luck to you all.
:welcome:
Good luck with your bridge program.

Aww. Katie, thank you so much for asking. I think the interview went well. She told me they didn't take too many people from associate's programs so I don't know if that was code for "don't get your hopes up kid" or what...I thought the interview went well but they won't let me know their final decision until the end of March. So I shall sit and wait :uhoh21:
Thank you for asking
My husband and I are going to start building a house and we have been all over the place putting money down here, choosing brick here, choosing sites there, and so on and so on. We are building out in McKinney and our home should be done by October. This is just a lot to deal with on top of school but I will survive!!!
I am going to the Texas SNA convention this weekend in Galveston...I leave tomorrow and come back Saturday....should be fun :) Hopefully I'll get internet connection in my room because I still have some psych stuff to complete.
Katie and Brie- have you guys completed those modules at ECC yet? I didn't learn anything from them but then again I haven't taken the test so that might change!
