i know some of us have received our letters so i was wondering who else i will be making this journey with for the next 2 years.

my name is allison shaffer and it's nice to meet you. i know we will all be close because it's a small group. it would be nice to get to know some of you before november 17. :)

I used the Fundamentals Success Book, Medspub, Prenhall, and Kaplan and I did well on the test (92). Where do I find the breakdown of what makes an A, B, etc? Some of us in the class are confused.

It should be near the front of the syllabus. I think this is the breakdown....

A= 90-100

B= 89-83

C= 82-78

D= 77-65

F= Below 65

I know 78 doesn't sound good to you, but I know I'm praying for at least a 70. :( 78 sounds like a

Pat yourself on the back! You are one test down, with a passing grade. You've made it all this way! You are in 3rd semester!! Think positive, and continue on! You can do it, Brie!!!!

Thanks!!! I just don't like starting out so close to the edge like this... but I did pass, so that is something to be happy about! :smilecoffeecup: . I really learn alot from my instructor, but her tests are just so tricky!!! Sometimes, I wish that I had someone else....:scrying:

Nobody has their syllabus with them. Ahh, I thought the A started around a 93 or 94.

Thanks Brie! We were also all discussing the requirement of withdrawing if you get below x. Some thought x = 70, some thought 78....we learned it was a 70. Congrats on passing Brie!

YOU GUYS YOU GUYS YOU GUYS!!! I am SO excited!!! I applied for an Externship at Children's. I had to write an abstract on what Children's can do for me and what I can do for Children's and I had to send in my transcript and fill out an online application. Wellllllllllll I sent everything certified last week and I just got a call from them!!! I know it doesn't sound like a big deal but they set up a telephone interview with me for next Thursday!! They asked me which department I was interested in and I, of course, said ICU and they said they needed to know so they could get the Head Nurse in ICU to come in for the interview. ACK! Talk about nerve racking!!!!! I hope I say everything that I mean to say and not sound like a doofus!!!!!!!!!!!! :clown: I will definitely keep everyone posted. I probably shouldn't say anything but I can't keep it in any longer!!!!!! :rollI am nervous and excited at the same time. I feel like I got the golden ticket on American Idol LOL

Hey, I am so excited for you. You are going to be great on the interview. Just keep up with your positive thoughts. :D Would you like to start the externship this summer or earlier? I think I won't apply for any externship this summer. I want to take lots of classes for the BSN program.

Congrats Bree, 78 is passing. :wink2: For this test I read a lot. I go to class, read both Iggy and Lewis, try to watch most of the lecture videos on eCampus and I practice a lot of NCLEX questions. I read a LOT this semester. Do you have our Wednesday lecture videos on your eCampus? We did some review questions once in class and I found similar questions to those on test1. So it worth going to class or watch the videos online.

Thank you so much everyone!!! :D My husband just took me out for a celebratory dinner LOL and it was just a phone call for a telephone interview. Oh well it's always important to reward yourself :roll

The externship starts May 29 and ends August 2. I have taken all of my BSN courses so I was without any plans for the summer .. well I do need to take Statistics so I guess I have finished ALL of my courses. I just hope I get this :D
