i know some of us have received our letters so i was wondering who else i will be making this journey with for the next 2 years.
my name is allison shaffer and it's nice to meet you. i know we will all be close because it's a small group. it would be nice to get to know some of you before november 17. :)
Hey Katie,
I started teaching it last semester, just for some extra money. I've really enjoyed it and would love to continue teaching, even after getting my RN. It also keeps me really fresh. Last semester I taught SCIT 1407, but this semester I'm teaching 1408. I don't think Kanora was trying to be rude or hateful, but she just wouldn't say anything else, and I don't see how someone could just not think it's important enough to at least present to the Dean. Have a great night.

I feel so behind.... I haven't done anything all week related to school!!! I took my transcript to ECC yesterday and finally got registered. My instructor posted an outline, so if you guys want it, I will email to y'all. I know I'm going to have to brush up on my A&P for the cardiac stuff! There's alot of resources on ecampus this time...
Did you guys buy the Iggy book? I thought the tests are coming from Lewis?
-Brianna
Yes, I did. From what I heard the lecture tests are coming from the Iggy book. Also, the syllabus shows the Iggy book as our med-surg book and not the Lewis book.
Brie, Allison, have you heard anything from 4th semster students?
Katie
I am really upset about that because THR isn't giving us the Iggy book, only the incoming students get it. I just don't think it's fair if that's where the tests are coming from. How much is that book? Do you think it's better than Lewis?
I talked to Mrs. Elhert at ECC yesterday and she said that 3rd isn't that bad and most people have difficulty in 2nd. I sent my friend in 4th semester an email today to get some dirt. I'll let y'all know..

Well, good news! Kanora called me today and amazingly, she was going through her desk and found my signed waiver! Imagine that! Especially since she told me she hadn't had a chance to give it to the Dean yet??? Oh well, I'm just grateful we got word before the semester started. Deep breath.....and move on....lol

On a Saturday? I wasn't aware that the Health Occupations office was open on Saturdays. Kind of makes you wonder, huh? That might have been why she didn't say anythng the other day. I'm just glad that you got the word.

I don't think they are open on Saturday, and I'm sure she has tons of stuff to do before the semester starts, but El Centro staff in general doesn't treat students worth a crap. There is no reason something like that should take that long....these are people's lives they are dealing with, not just pieces of paper. It's frustrating, but I am just grateful at this point.
Take it easy!

Sorry, I can't help with Kenora. Try to call other administrators at ECC, too. By the way, I think it's very cool that you are teaching A&P.
In skills lab we would wear confortable street clothes or any scrubs. I guess it's also depends on what your skills instructor wants.
