i know some of us have received our letters so i was wondering who else i will be making this journey with for the next 2 years.

my name is allison shaffer and it's nice to meet you. i know we will all be close because it's a small group. it would be nice to get to know some of you before november 17. :)

Well, I can't say I'm graduating this year, but I did finally get my uniforms in today & my Danskos came in...Yeah!! I'm still dying to find out my lab schedule, but hate to make a trip down there only to have to go again just before school starts. If anyone is going down there to check the schedule, please let me know. I'd owe ya' big if you took a peek at mine!

I'm going downtown tomorrow and again next week. I'll let you know if anything is posted. That doesn't mean things won't change at the last minute (at least once)! What's your course number for skills lab?

hey there ladies,

i don't know if it's the same for y'all...but we don't have school on the 16th, due to it being mlk day, the campus is closed. my skills lab is supposed to be on mondays but for that week they have scheduled it for thursday bcuz of mlk. however, it may be different bcuz you are in clinicals and the hospitals are obviously open. just a thought.

the students starting at bh for this pilot program (which thankfully means me), finally got our initial info today. found out that they are no longer using the nice light green scrubs, we have to wear white...yuk! we will not have orientation until late march so we are still a little in the dark. baby steps huh?

did you feel that your daughter handled body worlds okay? i don't know if you remember but my son is the same age and we were thinking of taking him, what is your opinion?

I thought MLK was on Monday the 15th, and the semester starts on Tuesday, the 16th. :confused:

Hey Toni! Brianna did fine with the Body Worlds exhibit. She and I were supposed to have the kid version of the audio, but she somehow got the adult and then got bored completely with the kids audio. The only real problem for her was that it was very crowded, so she got frustrated trying to get up to the front to see, and because of the crowds, it moved kind of slow. If you can, try to take him on a slower day, or one later on in the exhibit when the new has worn off. There were several kids there, so he should be fine as long as he's not squeamish. I thought Monday was MLK (1/15) and Tuesday was a go....now I'm really confused. I'll have to check the website.

Just checked the website and the holiday is Monday the 15th, classes start Tuesday the 16th. Go to the homepage Toni and click on classes start on right hand side and then you can see the MLK link on the left side of the next page.

Thanks! I have my last major speech tomorrow and 2 more tests.... I cannot wait for this to be over!!! This class frustrates me like no other :angryfire ! Well it's more like my instructor not the class...

Anyways, I have orientation on Friday at 8:30... I'm so nervous! I cannot believe I "could" be graduating this year!!!?!?!?!?!?! This is soooooo much pressure....

I wonder if we get orientation this semester. And we also supposed to have IV skills next week but I don't have info on that either.

IV skills is what semester? You are entering 3rd, right? My uniforms are in, my shoes are in, I think I've about got everything together! Do we need to bring anything special on the first day of skills lab?

Yes, IV seminar is 3rd semester but you start hanging IV and changing tubing in 2nd semester.

I am not sure if you need anything special on the first day but you can always bring you skills pack.
