i know some of us have received our letters so i was wondering who else i will be making this journey with for the next 2 years.

my name is allison shaffer and it's nice to meet you. i know we will all be close because it's a small group. it would be nice to get to know some of you before november 17. :)

Congrats to all the El Centro students.....I gradated in May 2005 with t Brookhaven Program. They have awesome instructors there. I know a few El Centro instructors........Must have instructors = Mrs. Darrensbourg, Dr Ann

Must NOT have instructors= Ms Blossie Chapman, she makes the terminator look like an angel........If you guys have any questions or info please ask......I still have some books I am not sure if they are outdated for your courses but I would be happy to check for who ever is interested. I know it can be very expensive......................

Good Luck and hang in there......Oh and during your spare time....start looking over Hessi material now......

Oh and another thing.....Please know your own study skills and what works for you......Dont listen to what everyone else tells you. I always studied better alone and some people work better with groups. Always have a support group.....no matter what. Don't hesitate to ask your instructors for individual help, they understand better when they see that you are trying..........

Thank you so much for your input! I definitely agree with what you said about study the way that works for you. I don't do well with study groups either...

I had Ms Darensbourg in 1st semester and she really was a sweet lady.

Katie- yeah me too. I'm trying to narrow everything down. I have taken the last two days off which I shouldn't have done but family was in and out and all over the place that I couldn't sit down and concentrate for more than a few minutes! Respiratory sure takes up a lot!!!

I have to design a toy for peds on Friday. My age group is 6-13. I think I'll try to figure that out AFTER test 4! :uhoh21:

I have went over Asthma and it took me nearly half of the day yesterday.... I was off work yesterday and I'm off today, but it's taking me a while to grasp these concepts. I'm trying to focus on asthma a little bit since there are 5 questions on that... Are you guys using the book yet? I had to crack it open yesterday... lol! For the hospitalized child, I just went over the age-group concerns like body image for adoles, and separation for infants. Is that what they're talking about? I'm very nervous and I really want to do well on this test...

Brie: I started reading the book for this test. It takes a lot of time. :uhoh21: Also, practice a lot of questions.

Allison: I had to create a toy for adolescents. I took dice to the conference and talked about a role playing game.

About the birthday. I think you can set it in your profile so everyone can see your birthday.
