I am starting a tread for all the students that will be applying for spring 2015 ADN program at El Centro. Please join and give any info that you might have. I want to be successful as well as everyone else trying to apply.

I would go ahead and apply!!!!! You never know! Then if you do not get in this time atleast ypou know what to expect and all next time and then you will for sure get in!!!!

So I have a confusing question, I'll most likely end up calling the school and asking but I'll go ahead and ask you all.

I have taken both SCIT 1407 & 1408 (made C's in both) I've also taken BIOL 2401 (made a B) and plan on taking BIOL 2402 in Fall 2014 (I'm doing this because some of the RN to BSN require the BIOL over SCIT courses.) My question is: Which class will they use when calculating my prereq course cumulative GPA? (If they use the BIOL 2401 course then I will have an extra point for the GPA porton) And if they use the BIOL 2401 will I still get a credit for the SCIT 1408 hours when I add up my supporting sourses.... Does this make sense?

I planned on applying for Spring 2015 but I'm not sure if I'll make the cut. I'm retaking the HESI July 11th and plan on having my packet ready to go so all I have to do is slip in the HESI score and turn it in. I have 8 points from my HESI now but I want 10. So in reality I could be applying with anywhere from 27-29 points this time. I feel like maybe I should wait to apply for Fall 2015 and I will for sure be applying with 32-34 points. What would y'all do?

Hey everybody! I'm joining this post as I receive a denial letter from El Centro for Fall 14'!! I applied with 28pts HESI cumulative of 426 cut off was 28 HESI 430!!! So close!! It's crazy how a few points can make a big difference!! Anywho, I will be retaking the HESI in a couple of weeks!! I took it two years ago so I will be studying!! Oh and I'm taking ARTS 1301 for an extra point!!

I was wondering are you going to redo your physical exam that you used for the fall 2014 application. Or are you going to use the same one to reapply with for spring 2015. do you think it will still be good?

I will be using the same one because I had my physical in February 14' so it will still be good. I can't remember if I read in the packet that it has to be no more than a year since your last physical, but now I can't remember if it goes by application deadline or start of the program!!

I was told it is good for a year. I used mine to apply for Spring to the El Centro/THR partnership and the fall traditional program. I didn't get in for Fall because that gave me 26 points instead of the 28 I thought I had. I have a 448 HESI.

I haven't decided if I will apply for Spring yet because I have no time to get anymore points before the July deadline. I applied for the partnership program with THR for Fall also but won't know until the first week of July. I'm taking Basic Health Profession Skills this summer but it doesn't end until July 22, right after the deadline unfortunately. Although, for Spring I retook A&P 2 and Micro and finished March 14 but they still had my new grades on my sheet with the denial letter. That would give me 29 points but I doubt they will count it.

Hey guys I am planning on applying in spring 2015, I did apply for the fall but did not get in so I am taking a couple of classes in the summer and retaking the HESI. I didn't do so good on the HESI the first time. To be honest lol

@kajee, I like to know why students are being denied. Can you tell me how many you scored on your HESI? You can pm me if you don't feel comfortable saying it on here in public. I'm also scheduled to take the HESi come August 1. Hopefully, I will get to apply after then. (Nov- jan)
