I am starting a tread for all the students that will be applying for spring 2015 ADN program at El Centro. Please join and give any info that you might have. I want to be successful as well as everyone else trying to apply.

No problem :) I have done 1204. Its a great class and I really enjoyed taking it, especially if you don't have any previous healthcare background. You have to do 3 check offs with hand washing, vital signs and physical assessment. Keep checking for 1202, I didn't get in, but got lucky one day and saw someone had dropped and I was able to get in

Can we take the Hesi A2 any where? Mountain view, UTA, TSU? As long as it is taken in the state of TX?

Wow! That figure is very competitive lol! I guess you 're almost done with all the BSN classes right? Have you taken the HESI? Good luck to all of us!!

Ah I really hope so! And yes I have 12 of the transfer courses, I'll have 13 done after this summer. And yes I took the HESI, I'm only getting 6 points out of the 12. I'm considering taking it again before

July for a higher score.

Yes, I took mine at Prometric both times. I don't know about it having to be in Texas necessarily but if it's the correct version I don't see why you couldn't. You'd need to ask about out of state.

So I have a confusing question, I'll most likely end up calling the school and asking but I'll go ahead and ask you all.

I have taken both SCIT 1407 & 1408 (made C's in both) I've also taken BIOL 2401 (made a B) and plan on taking BIOL 2402 in Fall 2014 (I'm doing this because some of the RN to BSN require the BIOL over SCIT courses.) My question is: Which class will they use when calculating my prereq course cumulative GPA? (If they use the BIOL 2401 course then I will have an extra point for the GPA porton) And if they use the BIOL 2401 will I still get a credit for the SCIT 1408 hours when I add up my supporting sourses.... Does this make sense?

I planned on applying for Spring 2015 but I'm not sure if I'll make the cut. I'm retaking the HESI July 11th and plan on having my packet ready to go so all I have to do is slip in the HESI score and turn it in. I have 8 points from my HESI now but I want 10. So in reality I could be applying with anywhere from 27-29 points this time. I feel like maybe I should wait to apply for Fall 2015 and I will for sure be applying with 32-34 points. What would y'all do?

Hi guys! I am also applying this spring for the el centro nursing program. I am very excited yet so nervous. I will be applying with 32 points, I would like to know how many points you guys are applying with? I still feel like I could do better, any advice? Thanks!

Hi, After I got accepted to Fall 2014 program, I feel like helping others. :D

If you can take more classes to improve your points, do it during summer. Retake HESI if you didnt do good on it. I believe you are in a good shape with 32 points. I think the lowest point that was accepted for Fall 2014 program is 28.

Hello everyone,

I just got my denial letter from applying to El centro for fall 2014. I applied with 27 points but the cut off was 28. I will be taking may mester hprs 1202 for 2 more points and also i am going to retake my Ant 1407 over so that i can make an A instead of a C which will bring me up on my pre-req gpa. I also think i am going to tey to retake the hesi. Im hopefully going to apply with 30 points come July 15th. I think from readying the last 2 semester posts if you have 29 and up you have a really good chance of getting in. At first i was sad but i have to say that a least i am further than when i started. Everyone be encourged if we keep trying we will be nurses sooner or later!!:up:
