Brookhaven (DCCCD) Fall 2016
You're totally in on points alone. We had some people that totally clammed up after both questions and some that barely spoke that made it in our class because of their high points. You can seriously stop stressing, you're all good.

Brookhaven (DCCCD) Fall 2016
It's been crazy, fun, stressful and you're right, it's hard to explain until you are in it yourself. Good Luck with your interview. I can't believe we only have like 4 weeks left in first semester and we will be beginning 3rd semester when your class starts. It goes by SO FAST!

Brookhaven (DCCCD) Fall 2016
There is another thread going on with your fellow applicants if you would like to join their discussion: https://allnurses.com/online-nursing-schools/brookhaven-dcccd-fall-1024700-page11.html Some of us current students have chimed into their conversation to help them out with questions they had about interviews.

Brookhaven (DCCCD) Fall 2016
Questions are your typical interview questions, "What are your strengths and weaknesses?" "Why do you want to be a nurse?" "Name a time you've failed and how did you overcome it" "Explain a time you faced conflict and how did you handle it?" "What qualities do you possess that you think would make you a good nurse?" Stuff like that. There are mock interviews available to attend at the career center in the S bldg. Have answers ready for those types of questions. It's always good to prepare a question or two for your interview panel, because they usually ask if you have any questions for them at the end. Don't panic. It will be okay, and you'll laugh about it after it's over. We look back and laugh about the things we stressed over as an applicant or even our first couple of weeks of school. It comes with the territory, we (current students) have all been there.

Brookhaven (DCCCD) Fall 2016
1st semester student here. For our interviews we had typical job interview questions, and some nursing related questions. Most of us wore business professional clothes: slacks/skirt, heels/flats, button up shirt with a blazer and ties for the men. Some men wore suits.

Honestly the interview is a formality. My advice is if you have issues with interviews/nerves, go to YouTube and watch some videos about nursing school admission interviews or do the mock interviews at career services in the S building. Have a question or 2 prepared to ask the interview panel as well. But seriously don't sweat it. (I know it's hard not to stress) Oh and also, dress in business attire like you are going for a job interview. Good luck!

Brookhaven (DCCCD) Fall 2016
I am currently in the Spring class that started in January, you will have no problem being accepted for an interview with 29.91 points. As long as your application is complete and you have all of your ducks in a row with immunization a you're good! Good luck!

Brookhaven Nursing Spring 2016
I have not completed the packet, just need to visit my doctor for my Hep B titer and I should be all set. I believe they drug test is randomly during success camp and I think the background check is sent to the school but I'm not 100% sure. Sorry I can't help with the second part.
