Hi all,

I am starting a tread for all the students that will be applying for spring 2015 ADN program at El Centro. Please join and give any info that you might have. I want to be successful as well as everyone else trying to apply.

does anyone know when the next info session is?

I was told my THR there would not be one this Spring.

Hi All , I'm taking the HESI Mar 29th....I have the study guide and it is a big help with studying ...I plan to take it twice .....

I'm currently taking Psy 2314 .... So far I like !! I'm waiting to get into HPRS 1202 or 1204 and to retake my a&P 1 this summer ....I think I'm now shooting for the Fall vs. applying for spring 2015

Also, Nutrition was a interesting and easy class ......

I currently attend el Centro in their nursing program and I would def buy that hesi study guide! The math in it is right on the money. I purchased a cliff notes book of a&p which was a great "refresher" for me since I did both as my first pre-reqs.

My advice would be to take the hesi admissions twice if you can afford it and have the time. If you take it once, you know exactly what to expect and what to work on.

Thanks for letting us know this. Would you suggest taking the A&P (both 1&2) during summer? Coz that's exactly what I'm planning to do. My second question is, do they require us to get the 3 shots of hepatitis B before applying into the program, or just 1&2, and then get the third one when the person is accepted into the nursing program?

When I applied - they only required 1&2 and the third was accepted after you got your letter.

Word of advice... Only take a&p 1 and 2 over the summer (I did maymester and summer 1) if you are ready to have no life and studying every free second:) we had tests every 3 days lab and lecture. It was INTENSE. Harder then my nursing classes to be honest! BUT - it's doable.

If you have ANY questions about applications and applying, don't hesitate to call the nursing admissions people and ASK. So many people got declined a spot due to missing things and wrong paper work. Don't be that person!!!

Also I hope I didn't discourage you from doing summer a&p. Just... Be ready to study like a mad man and have no life for 2 months and eat, sleep, breathe a&p.

In my opinion, it's WORTH IT. Instead of taking two semesters for those two classes, I did it in TWO MONTHS! I was almost mentally insane by the end but it allowed me to apply to the nursing program much sooner then it would of been if I did it during regular semesters.

And now - less then 2 semesters left of the program! Woo Hoo!!!

I took AP 1&2 over summer and now I don't remember a thing!!! IT was so fast paced. I made B in both but now I am concerned about the HESI AP part. Hopefully I find some good notes :/

Hey yall! I have to apply for fall 2015. I have 16 guaranteed credits before the hesi. I'm currently enrolled in a CNA course and I just contacted el Centro about getting credit for those points. The substitute class is not available at my college but I want those 5 points somehow! Haha :)

Did you save your power points or notes? I would go over those. I also made a huge comprehensive review from my own info. If that would help? If anyone wants it lemme know. It's my own review I made.
