El Centro Spring 2018 Nursing Program Hopefules

Hello Nursing hopefules!

I will be applying for the El Centro Nursing Progam for spring 2018. I wanted to know if anyone else is working on their applications and how far along. Here to provide and receive support and help. I currently have 26 points without the HESI. I was only missing 3 points from the RN-BSN courses. I have taken the HESI 2 times before and there would always be one subject (grammar) that held me back from submitting my application. I did not take the HESI seriously and never studied for the test. This time is different. I have been studying my head off for 2 weeks now. Taking the HESI for the third and final time Feb 11. Hopefully I get to meet some future el Centro students here and start our journey together!

Well the girl at the front desk told me not to worry that I should get in. She asked did I get an 80 on all section at least. I told her yes. She said well you should have a problem. She said some people turn their app in and still don't meet the requirements. Not that I didn't want others to get in. I have 29 points and I have worked my bit off for that. I've taken almost all of the prereqs through medical illness an takeveruthibg. Plus this is my last semester to get in without having to retake Bio over. So I'm praying I make it. I pray all of you make it as well. I think I'm being extra about it too. But this acceptance will be a well deserved birthday gift!

She said it was because of the change for the 80% on all sections. Many people can't get it.

Where did you read hat they extended it?

Yeah I can see that, the anatomy got me because there was only 30 questions!! But after taking the hesi 4 times, I memorized alot of the questions I had problems with.

The only extention/delay I know of was the one in sending out the notification letters... I dont know of an extention in the application period...

Yeah the 80 on all sections is why I had to wait to apply! & You are right 2 people from my job applied and they didn't even have above 80s on all sections. Best wishes to everyone on here!

I swear I would go crazy without this group! I have to call them tomorrow to make sure they have my correct e-mail because I didn't receive an email.I feel like I am on a emotional roller coaster! lol Thanks to the person who posted the e-mail!

They said something about the Dean was not ready... I think I saw someone post it earlier.

Yea, I read that the Dean was not ready but I didn't know if there was a reason behind that... Such as the number of applicants or something like that.

Anyone know the direct number to actually speak with someone about my email? I am getting voicemail only and idk when they check vm.
