Hello Nursing hopefules!
I will be applying for the El Centro Nursing Progam for spring 2018. I wanted to know if anyone else is working on their applications and how far along. Here to provide and receive support and help. I currently have 26 points without the HESI. I was only missing 3 points from the RN-BSN courses. I have taken the HESI 2 times before and there would always be one subject (grammar) that held me back from submitting my application. I did not take the HESI seriously and never studied for the test. This time is different. I have been studying my head off for 2 weeks now. Taking the HESI for the third and final time Feb 11. Hopefully I get to meet some future el Centro students here and start our journey together!
Travis, I had 46 points upon applying! I am extremely anxious! And yes, we just recieved an email explaining the delay and that it can take til the end of the month. Those that have been accepted will have the introduction meeting November 8th! ... I think I am going to lose my poop, I couldnt even keep it together the last two weeks lol
"Good morning.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, our notification letters to applicants for the spring 2018 El Centro College Associate Degree Nursing program will be delayed. We plan to send out notifications to all applicants via email no later than October 31st. Therefore, please watch your email inboxes in the next week or two.
We will hold an orientation for those students accepted to the program on Wednesday, November 8th. Therefore, if you receive an email indicating you have been accepted to the nursing program, you will need to be available to attend the orientation on November 8th.
We thank you for your patience and your interest in the El Centro College Associate Degree Nursing program."
You may want to check to make sure they have a good email address for you.

Hi Melissa! We are all waiting as anxiously as you are. LOL! They have delayed mailing out the acceptance/denial letter for the next couple of weeks. Is this your first time applying? How many points do you have?
