Thanks Yang. They always make it seem like you need the box and if you don't get it then you will not have what you need. Gahh, I am such a sucker!!! Did I tell you that my psych clinical is with Grey at Green Oaks, oh what fun. I just want to scream and do this :banghead: . I just have a feeling those 6 days are going to be hell! Hope I can bear with her...and probably a $%^* load of paperwork to do :(

I heard horrible things about Grey - not that I haven't gotten to spend my own quiet time with her lol. She knows exactly what she wants on the movie she has you do the major care plan on. I didn't have her or I'd give you some tips, but several had to redo their major care plan with her for a 78 because they failed it the first time. Not trying to freak you out, but try to get her into conversation about "A Beuatiful Mind" before she assigns it. :typing

Well....I PASSED! My goal was to start my internship as an RN :nurse: and I made it, by a couple days...hehe....The other two (from ECC) that took it the same day as me passed also! It's a party now :clpty:....if only I felt like it. I've been fighting a horrible cold since Tuesday night.

:clphnds:Contratulations Yang, I didn't have ANY doubts about you passing...did you?

The psych major careplan is from a movie? Huh?? OMG, I thought you said this semester was the easiest and the best!!! You promised and everything :sniff:

Well psych is 1st, maybe it can only get better from there... Hope I don't end up being a psych patient!! It was the lesser of 2 evils, either psych with Grey or M/S with Chatman. I didn't know which was worse so I closed my eyes and pointed.

I didn't really doubt it, but you know how it is. If you expect the worst, you aren't disappointed...lol. You chose the lesser of 2 evils for sure! But yes, Grey does her major careplan from a Beautiful Mind. She has for years and knows EXACTLY what she wants for the careplan. It is so bizarre, I know. But it is a short period of time, and you can still make an A even if she screws you on that. This will be the easiest and best....I still promise....lol. Don't panic yet!

Yang, RN (heheh...isn't that pretty???)

Yes Yang, I must admit that the RN behind your name is quite pretty indeed :clown:...you are soooo funny!!!! Oh thank goodness that I picked the lesser of the 2. If the lady knows exactly what she wants for the careplan, I hope that she will be willing and able to convey that information to us in an understandable manner. I have had those that know what they want in their own heads, but could not put it into words well enough for the class to get a clear understanding!

So Yang did you have a lot of SATA questions and meds on your test? Were the questions totally different from what we have on our exams?

She's not good at conveying, but that's why I suggested you bring up the film to her in casual conversation...lol. Prime the pump a little. I had 3 SATA questions, 1 med calculation. Tons of prioritization and endocrinology. It was about the same with the other 2 guys that took it with me. The SATA questions were easier than what I've seen in the NCLEX books, and the questions were pretty much like what we've had at school. The NCLEX though was almost completely 4th semester stuff! I didn't have even 1 maternal/neonate question, and only 1 pediatric and it wasn't even directly a pedi question. Pay attention this semester! You'll do fine!

Cool, I will do just that, prime her and then pump her..LOL

Wow that is awsome about your test. I'm hoping I will get one just like it because pedi and ob are my Achilles heel. Hated everything about it and just couldn't my head wrapped around it. I"m thinking that I will need to take a month or so before I take the NCLEX to brush up on that stuff again....with my luck I will probably get 20 questions on that crap..lol.

Yang, how was the atmosphere at Baylor when you were doing clinical rotations there? I am thinking about applying there.

We were at Baylor Irving, and had it not been so far away, I'd have jumped at it. I just really wanted something close. Atmosphere wise, I think you have toxic people anywhere, but they definitely had their share of awesome and helpful people too. I'd say go for it!

Fear not, I will keep you updated. My family will get so sick of hearing it that I'll have to have somewhere to share! lol. Are you looking at Irving, and which department are you interested in? (You may have told me, but I'm hyped up on cold medicine, and too lazy to look back lol).
