congratulations! to everyone that is starting in january!
i'm so excited to meet everyone-please introduce yourself!
:groupwelcome:
For 1st semester, I read the chapters, did the study guides, and answered tons of NCLEX practice questions. (Which get easier to answer by 4th semester, btw...lol)
I never went by the syllabus only.
The more you read the material, the more it starts to sink in. Try to read, read, and read it again, while making notes on the pages you have printed out from the powerpoint notes. Then you can study those as well, and have the book's extra stuff to study as well...the stuff that is not mentioned on the powerpoints.
Hope this makes since! So, is it all online now? My class was a guinea pig semester! I had 3rd and 4th online.

Congrats Yang! I feel like I know you because I've been lurking on this board for a while.
This question is for anyone/everyone. Do any of ya'll have any study tips to offer for a 1st semester student? They keep telling us it's a self learning program but I have no clue what all to focus on, mainly in lecture. I went through and outlined the chapter per the outline they have with the three columns (if ya'll know what I'm talking about). They said this will give you a guide on what and how important topics are. So far, it seems very vague and very repetitive. Then I went through the lecture powerpoint. It does not follow the outline at all, sort of does, but has a lot of extra info that seems to go on and on. So am I on the right track with my studying? I'm just worried I'm missing something.
